Without rev a speeds, it really is a no brainer. I have a factory nav in my truck, so I dont need that... rev a doesnt cover in my subdivision, and it appears in the metro Nashville area, it isnt even turned on, although they claim it is according to all the maps i see.

Its cool to test, Im not mad or anything. Im looking forward to the official rom and I am content to wait it out.

I use the crap out of the gps already and it is worth the slower speeds on the net (even tho im not really experiencing any) seems fine to me, but then im not as "techie" as most of you guys. a little slower to me aint all that bad.

I will give DCD a try, but if that doesn't work I'm downgrading! all I want is RevA. Gps for me is not that good, I stick to my GPS receiver. This morning I was omw to work and decided to test the GPS under really cloudy sky. Mogul couldn't even lock 1 satellite..I pull Qstraz an in less than 2 sec I have 10 satellite lock down.

Cool

I went back to 2.17 last night. After doing a serious of test with different builds for the new 3.16 (unofficial and DCD's 2.0.0) and 2.17 (official and DCD's .10), it became very obvious that my Internet speeds were all over the place with 3.16. In fact, there were some downloads that would just totally stall out with 3.16 and would not ever complete until I went back to 2.17.
I am very fond of being on the bleeding edge; however, when productivity begins to suffer I have to take a step back an re-evaluate.
So now I am on DCD's .10 kitchen build with radio 2.13. So far (today) everything seems to be very stable again.

Hmmm -- I do look forward to being back out there again -- hopefully real soon!

Not this guy.. I had the 3.16 till DCDs 2.0 and Im never looking back. The internet problems don't have them. Slow web speeds sometimes? Sure on my home pc Also. Not to many posts in here can we take that as most people that flashed are happy with the Unofficial rom?

Or they waited so long for GPS that they will put up with stuff they wouldn't have under ordinary circumstances.

Yeah -- probably. Arghh ....
I loaded so many different versions of the ROMs - just never could get the Internet speed to get up there for the 3.17s. There are alot of folks in here also talking about getting Rev A speeds.
If I remember one of your earlier post (and I could be mistaken) -- you don't live in a Rev A area -- is that right?

I switched back to 2.17 yesterday.

The EVDO connection problems were unbearable. It wasn't just that it was slow, it was unusable and would hang on "Loading" for as long as I would let it. I would have to remove the battery for 5 minutes..blah, blah, blah.

The GPS worked well (when I did have EVDO service), but I am a HEAVY data user, so this just didn't work for me.

So I will patiently wait for the official release.
