@buddysousa! Thank you for your response and your offer. If the repairs costs are going to be too large to get ppckitchen.org back up and online, I may be taking you up on that offer! Thanks!

My need is sort of OT here, as I have settled with Vogue(s) running system base 21057. All I need is the ability to try little tweaks, mainly PagePoolSize, maybe also CompressionType. That's all. Seems this could be done without needing ppck connected, but BuildOS v1.1.0.0 requires a ppck connection before it will even get started.

Tink, I'm glad to see you still working in spite of the death of PPCK. I wanted the latest copy of your rom to sell of this device. I've moved to android, but I loved my WM devices while I had them.

ok, so I loaded your rom today. AWESOME JOB!!!

Carry on with your great work. I was sad to leave the WM world, but with the death of PPCK, I felt left out. I am enjoying my new setup quite a bit tho.

I feel even better about selling this old Mogul, now that it has your latest and greatest.

as always... You ROCK, Tink!!!

No. Only the forum is down. The authentication server will be alive for years to come. You should be able to do everything you could always do, except updater will always fail.

I don't plan on bringing PPCkitchen.org back online, as the demand for WM doesn't justify the time and expense it takes to maintain it. While this also means the fileserver portion of PPCkitchen.org is dead, it does not mean that the repositories will be disposed of. If there is any interest, the file server portion can be hosted again.

Sad to see it go, but I understand. Thank-you gguruusa and all involved in the ppc kitchens over the years for making WinMob work better.

That's the best WinMo news I've read in months! Next time I fire up BuildOS, it will be a special pleasure to pay homage to gguruusa and actually send a donation. It'll be a month or more before finishing current ROM testing, and donation will be small, like my 1st was, but even more deeply heartfelt.

Hey StreetsmarT! I will continue to support Windows Mobile development at this time. I do not have plans to move on to another platform for now. Windows Mobile has been good to me and the devices that I currently own provide me with all the applications that I need! Thanks for your interest!

Yes, I am uploading the file to my new home as I type this! In answer to your PM, flash this Toolset starting with step number 2. Step number one relocks your device, but your device is already locked. After working through steps 2-5, you will have an unlocked device with full GPS functionality. At that point, you can flash whatever Rom you like, or continue to use this Tinkerbell Rom. Enjoy!

I am wondering, was your device a Verizon unit to start with? Is it branded Verizon, or? If so, it sounds like your GPS will have to be unlocked.

Hi,
I found the problem with my Titan KB. If I slide a piece of cardboard (business card) behind the d-pad, it properly. I guess it's just a little loose. I'm amazed that shuch a small thing makes a difference. I tried tightening the screw underneath, but that didn't help. I ran the GPS toolset on another Titan I bought. It worked great.
Thanks again
Humm... now that is an interesting fix. There must be a loose connection I am assuming. I am glad you got it figured out there though. I hope you can come to a permanent solution! Glad to hear that the toolset worked for you! Thanks for letting us know!

Okay, it sounds as though your GPS is suffering from the Verizon MR2 update. I assume that since you said that you 'loaded the rom' that your device is unlocked?

Ya, I was using it a few years ago on verizon and used BuildOS a few times on it.. I never really had to learn much using that program.. Now I'm trying to use the ##778# to see if I can change things. But I am locked out of that. I got a program that said if I put in my hex esn it would give me that code.. but it didn't work.. Grrr...

Tinkerbell thanks for still working on this! I don't want to pay for a data plan so I am getting the xv6800 from verizon. I have been checking around and I can't find out how the GPS works exactly. Do I need the data plan? Do I need an active wifi connection? Do I have to buy tomtom or iguidance maps or are there free ones I can use? Or do I just install this software and it takes care of it all?

No, you do not need a data plan for your Titan's GPS to function. What you will need is a clear view of the sky and a smile.
Quote:

No, you do not need a wifi connection, but your device will lock much sooner if you can run the included QuickGPS over your WiFi connection.
Quote:

Again, your Titan will use a connection to the internet to download maps. If you use the included Bing application and set your destination while you are using an internet connection, you can leave that connection and your Titan will get you there using its own GPS providing the entire map is preloaded. Have fun!! Let us know if you have further questions!

I have another few questions that I can't find satisfactory answers to...
Once I have installed this mod, can I install other windows mobile based applications or will they not work? Do I need to make a kitchen for this? This seems pretty much impossible since ppckitchen is not a thing anymore...
I just have some simple beginner questions, but since the whole titan wiki is down I don't know where to find answers...
