Thanks for the help. The wiki site links are down... only the main page works. But I'll check all the stickies here for more information... I just worry because a lot of them refer to ppc kitchen and I'm not sure how outdated they are... or if there are better ways of doing things these days... anywho as always i appreciate the advice.

This looks awesome! I'm to see people are still supporting this phone, it's (from my experience) practically indestructable. How hard would it be to get this ROM working on Cricket?

Hey aaron_b. Thanks for posting. What are you trying to do exactly there? Are you looking to cook your own Rom, or just flash this one?

Hey zhris!! Your Cricket Rom is being uploaded as we speak. I don't have a Cricket phone to test this Rom on, but I loaded it up on my Verizon device and all seems to be functioning correctly. Let us know if you have any issues or challenges! Thank you again for your interest!

Hey aaron_b. I am mobile at the moment, but I will have a look at my notes when I get back! Thank you for giving this Rom a try!

Humm... sorry, I am away from my PC for the next few days. That problem usually is from a older pre-gps radio. Flash the shipped Sprint Rom again until I can offer better assistance. Sorry for your trouble! Guys, if you could take care of this thread until I get back I would really appreciate it!

Hey Buddy! Thank you for your question! Yes, we are still supporting those devices that have continued interest here. So, as long as there is interest in the Titan, I will continue to support this Rom! Enjoy!

Hey Tink, wanted to say a big THANKS for continuing to support this platform! I just bought a 'new' (refurb?) 6800 to replace my failing 6800 after Sprint wanted to charge me $50/mo more for a 'smart' Android phone. I thought this one was pretty smart long ago... Prepping to re-flash to this new ROM, wish me luck!

You ROCK, Tink! Just finished loading the ROM and now installing the accompanying apps. It failed on me a couple times before I figured out I needed to unlock it first, and found an exe for that as well. click, click, click...DONE! Doesn't get much simpler than that. Gotta play around with it a bit to figure out if I have any questions, but wanted to let you know I REALLY appreciate your contributions here! I do tech stuff, but I'd never be able to figure out how to program a ROM. Thanks again for helping to breathe new life into the 'Old Faithful'.

Hey Jim-n-I! Thank you for your thoughts. I am going to have to update that first post to include the information about your device having to be unlocked before flashing. I have those files here, maybe I will post them up as well. Thanks!

Re: [2-23-12]Tinkerbell's 29022 Titan Rom TBN 39.98 [Verizon/Sprint/Cricket]GPS Tools

Thanks Tink for the ROM. It has a lot of great programs. I have 2 xv6800 phones. I flashed one with your ROM. The other phone I need to keep on WM6.0 because I can get free data with QNC (Quick2Net) I am using DCD 1.6.1 on it. Is there a way to get GPS to work with WM6.0? When ever I upgrade to a version higher than WM6.0 I lose QNC which works great with Opera to read email and light web browsing. Thanks

Hey Farm Boy! Well, I don't see why you couldn't get GPS working with 6.0. What have you done to get it working?

Re: [2-23-12]Tinkerbell's 29022 Titan Rom TBN 39.98 [Verizon/Sprint/Cricket]GPS Tools

I thought that it was only after the upgrade to WM6.1 that GPS became available. I did see the DCD version 2.0.0 was supposed was WM6.0 and GPS enabled. If I could find that rom I would like to try it. No luck on rapidshare.

It has been awhile, but I believe the GPS was more based on the radio than on the Rom. I would try flashing a GPS radio, and then see what you have there. Let us know.

I have had no luck finding the radio or DCD rom. I need radio 3.27.00 and dcd 2.0.0 All the links I have found are dead or broken.

Re: [2-23-12]Tinkerbell's 29022 Titan Rom TBN 39.98 [Verizon/Sprint/Cricket]GPS Tools

GPS Answer: For Verizon we had to flash down to wm6.0 first (I used a shipped 2.09.605.8 ), then flash the 3.42.50 radio: Titan_Radio_ROM_3.42.50.Vogue.rar - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download - Ryan Mogul
then flash Tinkerbell's Rom.

This gives you both data GPS and standalone. So it allows you to be in airplane mode (no data or cellular) and still get GPS with Garmin Mobile XT, etc.

Tink, my wife thinks I'm looking at porn with the Terminator girl pics! Can you help me change the splash one? (I already changed the other one).

Likes:
1) Nuerom's kernel
2) Nuerom's wifi switch
3) Xtask!
4) VJ Flashlight app!
5) Good speed and use of wm6.5
6) Nice expansion cab options

Tweaks:

1) When you click the dcibattery it doesn't come up in english.
2) The "Select cabs to install" menu arrow and slider are mostly covered by the Windows bottom bar.
3) Phone->Settings->Alert->Can you make this stay "enabled"? (it always goes back to disabled. (Can't remember if I ever had this working)
4) Is there a way to get the default wm6.5 screen lock to work (instead of S2U2)?
5) Much of the file explorer bottom buttons are covered by the windows bottom bar
6) Is CHome editor what I use to edit the home page? Or is that not possible?
7) Wireless Manager opens comm mgr; maybe rename?
8) Dialer skin?

Great work Tinkerbell!

UGG... Sorry for that. I think she is so beautiful. I guess I also admire her because she makes us girls look less vulnerable. I thought those were tasteful images!

1. Yes, I know. It is worth it though. 2. I have not been able to get this to render properly. This happens often when running a vga or wvga program on a qvga device. 3. I am not sure. If you figure out how, let me know and I will tweak the Rom. 4. Not with this Rom, S2U2 in built into it. 5. True, same problem as 2. If anyone has a fix, I would be happy to incorporate. 6. Yes. 7. I will look into it. Thank you for the heads up.

supermaxkato I need to keep the phone on WM6.0 and still enable GPS It was done here:
Official Titan Rom/Radio/SPL Compatibility List - PLEASE READ BEFORE FLASHING!! - xda-developers
but all the links to DCD's version 2.0.0 and radio 3.27 seem to be broken. I am hoping someone might have the files yet. It the least I would like to try the 3.27 radio.

Re: [2-23-12]Tinkerbell's 29022 Titan Rom TBN 39.98 [Verizon/Sprint/Cricket]GPS Tools

*Tinkerbell, your default GPS setting is set to 911 only. If you release an update you might want to switch that.

farmboy, is yours still set at 911 only?
If not, then you should be able to get gps on that stock radio (it's the one we all had to flash down to before switching to a cooked rom).
The valhalla gps cab worked for me on both stock MR1 and MR2. Your wm6.0 is before both of these but that fix may be worth a shot. Have you tried it?
Also are you getting any gps data at all? Try verifying it through holux gpsviewer.
I have a Mogul and 6800 that both consistently lock, but it can take up 90 seconds; how long are you waiting?

In fact, I have tinkerbells rom on my 6800 with no data connection, and using Garmin Mobile XT (Intermediate driver not Com 4) I'm locked onto 5 sats , right now as I'm typing this.

*If after following each step in Tinks GPS toolset you still don't have GPS, then there is either a hardware failure, or setting error.

Re: [2-23-12]Tinkerbell's 29022 Titan Rom TBN 39.98 [Verizon/Sprint/Cricket]GPS Tools

Not sure if this matters to anyone, but I did manage to get the wm6.5 lock screen to be the default lock screen.
I kept iLock.exe but replaced s2u2.exe with the wm6.5 and wrote a short mortscript to make them work together.
Rather than use up tinkerbells thread just PM me if you want to do this and I'll tell you how.

Again thanks for reviving my Titan Tinkerbell!

The new radios will not work with WM6.0 So I have one phone that I have left on wm6.0 so I can continue to use QNC (quick2net) free data but slow. I just bought another titan that I have put Tink's rom on and and use it for wifi only. GPS works great on it. What I would really like is to get QNC to work on wm6.1 but when ever I upgrade the phone form 6.0 to 6.1 it seems to disable it. Here is a link on how QNC is activated on wm6.0
How to enable Qnc on XV6800

Now that I have 2 phone I don't know if there would be an easy way to compare registry or dlls to see what has changed and if it could be modified.

Hi Supermaxkato! I would have to build you a custom Rom. If I get some time, I will look into both of your requests.

i havnt been on ppcg in general but found an old mogul(titan) from sprint together with my old entire series of the apache, titan, touch pro, and touch pro 2 all in order lol so decided i want to use em and c if any of em r worth anything.

anyways to make a long story short i flashed ur sprint rom (yes its a sprint phone it says it ontop) @Tinkerbell and was hooked the second i saw the splash screens lol. all booted upp fine and rom responds smoothly except for 1: random reboots once in a while and 2: a reboot every time my screen powers off.

im planning on using the device on pageplus anyhow by changing the msl to 000000 and loading a verizon prl (works everytime and is 100% legal) i would try the verizon rom to c if it works any better but dont know if the hardaweis the same on both, is it ok to give it a whir? tia
