Humm... what problem are you having with the download exactly? Can someone confirm the link is functioning? It is working fine here...

ruthienu 06-30-2011 08:59 PM

My last post described my getting gps toolset to download but I wanted to know if I could flash correct radio after flashing rom.

Great! No, you do not need to flash a Radio before flashing this Rom. The Toolset is a different beast all together. When you are ready to unlock your GPS, just follow the instructions in the Tinkerbell's Toolset, and you will be all set!! I will get your Verizon Rom with the switch soon... it is moving up on the list!!

ruthienu 06-30-2011 09:40 PM

The toolset says to do all the steps can I just flash t the radio now?

If you are on step 4 in the Toolset, then yes. If you have not done steps 1, 2, and 3, then no. If you are just flashing the Tink's Verizon Rom, and not going through the Toolset, there is no need to flash a radio!

Uploading Tink's Titan Verizon 29022 (TBN 39.96DS) as we speak. This is the lastest WM build released. With this offering we are including a data switch in the Comm Mgr as per a request made here by ruthienu, as well as a few other mods. Thanks for your continued interest!

I am having trouble with the wifi on the phone with Tinkerbells rom installed. It will say connected on the phone but then opera can't load pages. When I turn the wifi switch off and turn it back on it says the router is unavailable. I was wondering if this is rom related or hardware related? Any help would be appreciated!

Ah, okay. Yes, we were having some issues with that version. Let me know if you are still experiencing issues with the new build! Thank you for the input!!

ruthienu 07-07-2011 06:01 PM

Just flashed the new rom. Thanks! The rom is missing opera which I will manually load. The only problem is that wifi still didn't work! Now it won't connect at all. Any ideas?

Well, I just checked and it is working here perfectly. Flashed again and rechecked... I get an almost instant WiFi connection and the pages load in about 10 - 20 seconds. I tested it with the phone toggled on and then off. Works both ways. I am not sure what you have going on there. Is your router set up properly? Do you have the Titan's settings correct to connect to your network there?

By request, Tink's Titan Sprint 29022 (TBN 39.96) now available for download. Post any bugs or issues here!! Thanks! Enjoy!

ruthienu 07-14-2011 10:51 PM

Thanks again your rom is working great! Only my wifi is flaky.Got it to connect and it would load one or two pages and then say unavailable. Mostly cannot connect at all. It will show a strong signal ( I am right in front of the router) but then drop it as unavailable. My gut feeling is that it is a hardware issue. I' ve read other people have this issue.Guess I bought a bad phone. Let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks!

Yes, I would agree that you are having a hardware issue. I have seen it happen to quite a few people here with the wifi on their Titan. I wish I had something for you to try!! Keep us posted if you make any progress there!

Thanks for your great work, Got a few spares since I love this phone and wont pay for a data plan. Been a while since Ive upgraded a rom or radio. I had a really hard time finding updated radios. Your rom, radio, and gps uprgade was simple to follow and worked flawlessly. The best instruction ever, and all in one place for my verizon phones.

Tink, you are a genius. thanks a ton. I flashed from my stock HTC rom to take care of a memory leak issue, and this 6.5 build is incredible. It's got a few more toys than I usually use; as I normally just load my messaging software, the htcaddicts memory manager, and ms reader, but it seems to be working very well. I especially appreciate the colored bars at the top that shows available memory. And the pre-configured server info for metropcs is very helpful.

Ok so I installed the Verizon version of your rom on my Alltel Titan. It looks really nice however it also makes my Titan run very slowly. How do I go back to just WM6.5 normal edition?

Well, thank you for giving it a try. Can you expand on what is running slowly? In benchmark tests, this Rom runs about 6% faster than stock. Was it a certain application that you found to be running slower that you expected? How much memory do you have available after running oxios? If you want to return to stock alltel, do an internet search for Alltel 6800 shipped Rom. If there are any still available, that should help you out. Maybe one of our users has a copy on their computer. =]

Re: [7-14-11]Tinkerbell's 29022 Titan Rom TBN 39.96 [Verizon/Sprint/MetroPCS]

Everything feels slow. The menus are sluggish to respond to scrolling or clicking with either touch or key/button inputs. I have to press multiple times or press and hold to make most things respond at all. Animations seem laggy such as scrolling through the home screen.

Memory before oxios
Total 47.05M
In Use 34.18M
Free 12.87M

oxios freed ~1.2M so it brought my total free up to 13.93M.

Re: [7-14-11]Tinkerbell's 29022 Titan Rom TBN 39.96 [Verizon/Sprint/MetroPCS]

Humm... that is not right, you should have 20 ... what else did you install on your device? What Version are you running? You should never have to click or tap anything more than once. It could be because of the verizon settings trying to interface with the Alltel network. This Titan is snappy here. Peform a soft reset, how much memory do you have available now? Sorry for your troubles! =(

Re: [7-14-11]Tinkerbell's 29022 Titan Rom TBN 39.96 [Verizon/Sprint/MetroPCS]

Yes. I can verify that this rom works wonders on my tired device. I was seriously considering an upgrade, but after installing this rom, i am totally satisfied with this device! The toolkit worked perfectly to unlock my GPS. I had worked for weeks trying to figure that out in times past. In just about an hour using Tinkerbell's toolkit, it was working perfectly. I can lock 12 satellites in about 20 seconds. I would describe this rom as very fast. There must be something wrong with how Kranchan has his device set up if he is having trouble. Great rom Tinkerbell. Thank you.

I haven't installed anything else yet. I'm running v39.96DS. A soft reset brings it up to 17.55M free and it does seem faster now. Things are more responsive.

Buddysousa - Thank you for your thoughts! We really appreciate our users input!!

StreetsmarT - Thank you for confirming how this Rom is performing for you! You are welcome!! Let us know how it is going there in the future!

Kranchan - We are glad to hear that you are having better results there. Are you running in High Memory mode, or Low Memory mode? If you are not using your camera several times a day, you will notice a performance boost by leaving your device in High Memory mode!
