I thought maybe if i hard reset again then I'll let the customization do its job but the first customization freezed because it couldn't find the file and I'm stuck there so i soft reset to stop it.

Can you provide the Sprint IOTA file? If you happen to have one for Mugol?

I found this ftp://ppcgeeks:ezupload@up.ppcgeeks....IMGFS/iota.exe . is this the one???
Have you tried this?

Start client-initiated IOTA
  1. In phone dialer, tap Tools, Options and then Services.
  2. In Services, tap Internet, and then Get Settings.
  3. Tap Start.
Also, here are the IOTA related reg settings from the 2.16 ROM

Ok I don't see this on my 6800 because I flashed Sampson's WM5 Rom. If I add these regs would that work? I checked the reg and It ended with PhoneExtendFuntion\CDMA\...

Should I just add IOTA\.... then keep adding, if this works I'll ask codyppc from http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=10668 to cab it.

The 2.16 ROM made a \Program Files\IOTA directory with some files in it in addition to those registry settings.

I cabbed it up for you so it will do the registry settings and copy the iota files over to \Program Files\IOTA.

I can't really give you much guidance as I haven't ran into the issue you are having before. Hopefully this will help. I would suggest backing up before trying this.

Sadly this didn't work either. thanks for the help though. Did anyone who flashed to sampson's wm5 had this problem? (Sprint Vision won't connect; its says 'no modem on top of this number, needs to change settings....' something like that.

I was browsing through DCD's thread this morning and found the posting he made below. Looks like I did the same thing he had already done last week. At least I learned something in the process. I opened up his cab and it appears to have the same files & registry settings I put into mine. However, he gave some additional instructions which might help.

After install, soft reset, and there will be an "Internet" option under phone settings. Select this, and you will find a "Start" button to initiate IOTA. Please let me know if this resolves the connectivity issues.

Isn't 6MB the default for our Mogul? I'm using the Alltel WM5 ROM (since I need smartdial and acrobat) and i only get 27MB of RAM free. It's still blazing fast compared to WM6 though.

So the one from DCD will work? is that the only thing i should use? This will work on sampsons wm5 correct? if the dcd IOTa doesn't give me the START IOTA option on the phone settings should i install the one from Ph33zy?

Ok thanks guys I try this out, dcd IOTA first. hopefully i get this right this time.

Sidenote****

I tried getting my MSL code from Sprint because I flashed back to Sprint 2.09 but my power vision username changed to something else so I couldn't connect. I was trying to get a hold of the code and the CS didn't do the hard EPST modification she sent INFOOO to my phone. Can you believe that!! she sent info instead of intruction over the phone to edit my EPST so I could get my MSL code. sad sad sad

**** Edit ****
I finally got the sprint vision to work.

Like I said I flashed back to Sprint Rom 2.09 then I made sure I run IOTA from Start/Settings/Phone/Services/Internet, this is while Im at Sprint ROM. Then I flashed to dcd-clean-1.1.5 because he's rom is base on 2.09 but cleaned it, but its still 2.09
I hard reset twice to dcd-clean-1.1.5 to make sure the internet is working without having to edit anything at all. with success on those hard resets
I went ahead and flashed to Sampsons Wm5 rom. I hard reset twice again to make sure, i dont know what for but just to make sure everything loads correctly.

Now when I check my device information, underneath ESN # there should have been a Current username section with your power vision username but its not there anymore but if you run EPST form Windows/EPST on the M.IP Profile 1 your username/email is in there that means ur good to go.

Im Happy
