Oh well, I finally broke down and burned it... It wouldn't boot. I didn't think it would be that easy. Does anyone know where it might be documented how some of the kitchen makers have managed to change the OS from 6.0 to 6.1. That would probably be a good tutorial for going backwards.

Reading your warning I come to the conclusion that once you have a working radio and boot loader (DON'T MESS WITH THEM AGAIN!) . Then, a mistake modifying the rom proper should always be recoverable?

heck try it man. appears to be rather hard to break a wm phone...even if u tried. and really only one way to learn, trial and error. i personally don't think experimenting with roms is that much of a risk, but what adds to the risk at this specific moment is the fact that there are no more moguls. so if u do happen to succeed in bricking it...looks like it'll be a Touch for you.

there was arumor that sprint had discontinued the mogul it turned out to be untrue they were just being slow about getting them out

Don't attempt going back!

If you have a GPS rom it can not be reverted at this point. I think this is one of the key causes of the black screen download mode problem myself and others are suffering from. SPL/Radio/Rom all have to be compatible.

This is a Samspons WM5 rom with GPS/Bluetooth/SDHC support. Runs fast. I have downgraded from No2chems 5067-k (after a number of issues with the pre-7 rom) and have to say that it has fixed all my issues with the older Sampsons Rom.
