Works well except for a few issues as above
I love this rom. Memory leak gone. (At 20 Megs with Slide2Unlock, Voice command, and a bunch of proggys running). Speed increased. I can use PICSEL without closure from full memory error.... YAY !!!! The only problem is the inability to download certain apps using Internet Explorer. I think it has something to do with the version of Explorer in the Rom. It is a little different than the WM6 one.
Opera Mini did not fox the logme in problem. Neither did the Cab file provided by Logmein httx://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=35035&d=1173191752 Arrgh !! Heres the original post on the logme in website... Will my mobile phone/PDA work with LogMeIn? Currently, LogMeIn will function on devices that operate with all of the following: For LogMeIn Free, Pro, and IT Reach: * Microsoft's Windows Mobile, PocketPC edition * Touch screen * Directional pad or touchpad * Run on an ARM version 4 compatible CPU, Intel XScale CPU, MIPS CPU or SH3 CPU. (As of the Pocket PC 2002 specification, ARM-based CPUs are required.) You can also try installing the mobile ActiveX control manually, by entering the following URL into mobile Internet Explorer: https://secure.logmein.com/activeX/ractrlce.cab See the attached PDF document for the models we have tested for compatibility with LogmeIn Free, Pro, and IT Reach. Anyone out there have a Cab file for the actual Internet Explorer that comes with the WM6 Titan ?? Last edited by nmhusa; 11-03-2007 at 07:46 PM. |

Keep the Rom small !!
Other than fixing the version of Pocket Internet Explorer in the Rom (i.e. making it identical to the WM6 verion on the Mogul), I think the ROM has everything that it needs. All the extras are available via a quick Google search or Forum Search on PPCGeeks or XDA.

if im right, the real thing has format options like left, center, and right, and also font sizing, all are important when i have to edit or create documents microsoft word isnt that much of a add on, but a necessity on a pocket pc, so im still requesting it be put back in this rom |

Dang, Sampson's ROM is working for me so far!
- I've got 30 to 31 megs of free RAM after booting, and have not yet seen any signs of bad leakage. Seems to be staying in the high 20s after I've opened and closed many apps and tried a lot of different functions - BT headset --- *** Just tested it by calling my GF. She said my voice sounded OK. No choppiness or breakup. She said I sounded maybe a little muffled and digitized, but we were able to have a conversation just fine. When I had the 2.09 ROM, the BT choppiness was really bad, the point that BT phone headset was unusable. Now it seems quite usable. - Everything seems faster now. Portrait-landscape transition is instantaneous. These are just early impressions, mind you. But so far, so good. p.s. -- Radio is 1.32.00 Last edited by veblen64; 11-04-2007 at 11:53 PM. |
