So I thought that Google had an agreement with the carriers and manufacturers to provide timely updates to android. Did Sprint and Samsung not get the memo?? Where is the timely update to gingerbread for the epic?

At this time, the only reason I want Gingerbread is because the battery life on my Epic 4G is horrendous! Unless I carry around a charger or spare battery, my standard battery will die before the work day is complete. I really hope gingerbread has helped extend my battery life.

At this point since sprint announced the epic is end of life in october I would doubt sprint would allow a gb release, this is from my windows mobile days with sprint. I was suprised we got fryo 2.2 it would be a merical if sprint allows samsng and all the money samsung would want from sprint for another operating system update when we just got one in march... count ourselves lucky... we will only have leaks

Also..Samsung does not charge for updates..that was a made up rumor...
