Re: epic battery life thought

I'm using push mail (exchange) and the gmail app. Juice Defender really seems to help the battery life when I'm not using the phone, but as soon as I start using it, it drops quick. With that said, the stand by life is excellent as I charged it for a few minutes today, but that was it and it's 12:27am and I just got my first battery warning... of course I was on the radio with the mics open when it made the low battery noise.

Re: Official Samsung Battery Performance Talk

I'v had this phone since the 31st, The spare battery tends to last longer because its very first charge wasn't interrupted. in the morning i used pandora on my hour+ long nj transit ride to and from school. I used the map and gps to find directions to this store I stopped at on my way home as well, and made a few calls.... and logged into and chatted with trillian im a few times through out the day. oh and yes email, +2 push gmails, facebook, twitter, myspace, and samsungs social networking app is set to sync just to give you a idea of what else is running. the battery life varies... but I didn't bring my spare with me so I was very impressed with it today in particular because of everything i managed to get done on one charge.

Re: Official Samsung Battery Performance Talk

One thing I wondered is this...if you compare the 1500mah battery in the TP2 and the one in our Epics..its like half the size...so I think to myself..couldn't samsung cram at least 2,500mah batteries in if they really wanted to lol...but overall my battery has been ok so far and I haven't dont much tweaks...

Is that acceptable by your standards?

Re: Official Samsung Battery Performance Talk

Guys/gals, FWIW, I've been using Juice defender w/ Ultimate juice (an add-on) and have been getting SUPERB batt. life.

I installed it over the weekend and must say, I'm really impressed. IMO it works much better than using SetCPU to underclock the phone. (I havent used SetCPU on the Epic, only on my moment so it's not a really fair comparison LOL)

Either way, Just wanted to share. This might be a better alternative than a larger battery and bigger back to the phone.

Re: epic battery life thought

very. I pulled it off the charger this morning at ... wait a second! something isn't right here. It did it again, 7:35am it jumps from 44% full to 100% full with the "full battery" warning/message. Then I unplugged it at 8:15am @ 100% and 8:20am, it went back to 45%... wtf!

Which app are you using to get the % battery? some people were saying that using the camera app actually gives a more accurate reading (some bug that happens that samsung promised to fix)

Re: epic battery life thought

I use Battery Graph to see the battery level and history, but the 100% is from Android saying "your battery is full, unplug it"
