Re: [ROM] midNIGHT ROM v5.1 (BYOR Edition)/(FULL Standard Edition) 3/31/2011
That's the stock Froyo launcher, not the TW launcher your looking at.

Re: [ROM] midNIGHT ROM v5.1 (BYOR Edition)/(FULL Standard Edition) 3/31/2011
oh... but it works EXACTLY like touchwiz, had 7 screens like TW with buddysnow, etc... just like TW, but only has 3 buttons and when I load Home Switcher, it has TW and my launcher and when I launch Touch Wiz again from Home Switcher, it launches the same thing, but only with 3 buttons, missing the messenger.

Too many different download links and labels that I am mixed up.
midNIGHT ROM v5 (BYOR Edition) EXT4 Journaling ON midNIGHT ROM v5 (BYOR Edition) RFS Journaling ON midNIGHT ROM v5 (No Tweaks Edition) RFS/CW2.5 NCIQ midNIGHT ROM v5 (No Tweaks Edition) EXT4/CW3 NCIQ midNIGHT ROM v5 (BYOR Edition) EC05 NCIQ If I am on the midNIGHT ROM v5 before the other versions came out, does that mean I have journaling on or off? Thanks downloaded the v5.1 journal off update and flashed it. Flashed the [Modem] DI18/EB13 to EC05 and it skipped the first two modems and then said it was complete. Hope I got that right!

Re: [ROM] midNIGHT ROM v5.1 (BYOR Edition)/(FULL Standard Edition) 3/31/2011
First of all - a big thank you for the amazing ROM.
Still on 4.2, but loving it. I read the changelog - and a lot of it does not make sense. Has there been any notable battery improvements with 5.1? I'm sure my limited battery is mostly due to the way I use the phone... but would still appreciate feedback. I'm sitting at about 37% battery - and it's been ~8 hrs since last charge. I have not really used my phone much today. Few texts, no calls, and a few games. When I select "Battery Usage" it shows my display eating up~90% Under Settings / Display... I have it automatically select the brightness. Power saving mode is checked... and my screen timeout is only set to 30 sec. Am I missing anything else? How big of a strain does Live Wallpapers cause on the CPU? I doubt thats an issue, due to the screen taking up 90% of my battery...

As far as your battery life, the live wallpaper does you no favors. |
