auto-screen rotation is null on my phone now after going to the rom. is this something that was disabled in it, or is there a setting im missing? i have gone to settings/display/Auto-rotate screen (that is checked), not sure if there is another option or setting. i really started noticing this when i was in youtube and wanted to tilt for full screen and when im on a web browser and want landscape without opening the keyboard. rotation works fine when keyboard is opened, just isnt happening otherwise.

Try recalibrating your phone in Settings->Display

I had tried that already with no success. I gave it another shot and still no go.

i searched around and found a fix, but now i need to get read/write access (permission). how do i go about that?

appbrain still doesnt support auto install on the epic to my knowledge. i have to manually approve every app i want to install.

MMS isn't working for me in 5.2. It just refuses to send or receive. I installed standard package and then went back and manually flashed the MMS zip just in case. Same thing. Is it broken for you guys too?

I wiped data for the 'messaging' app, which is the only thing i could think of related to MMS. Still won't download/send MMS. Now com.android.mms is crashing on startup. Any ideas?

Ugh... now handcent itself won't open. I reinstalled and nothing's working. I might have to just wipe and reinstall again. F'ing terrific.

Yeah i just reflashed. Everything seems to be working ok now, at least in terms of MMS and stuff.

family first rob plus the last rom works so well for me im not even looking to flash really.

focus on your family...we and our toys are not even secondary. making them a priority in life has so much more meaning. I'm certain that we will work out issues that occur amongst ourselves.

Having an issue with email notification. My gmail doesn't notify me when email come in. Tried going into recovery and loading up the stock email zip but still no notifications. I end up having to go into my gmail and hit the refresh button for my unread email to come up.. Any suggestions?

Have you checked your sync setting in settings menu?

I cant' help you, but I can give you a suggestion. Try another one of Timberwolf's themes and see if you still have the problem, then try someone else's theme.

Most of us here (as far as I know) don't use adw.

Maybe PM him if you can't work your way through it, or post a reply in his thread here.

Rob posted on Twitter that he has to sell his Epic to raise some extra money for his family. Those of us that run this rom will do our best to continue to help and give the best support we can to this work of art of a rom he has given us.

I would like to thank everyone for all the support I have received over the months I have been developing this ROM. Thank you all for taking on the challenge or spreading Autism Awareness. I can't explain what your support means to myself and my family.
Unfortunately, I'm announcing the end of the development for the midNIGHT ROM. It has become necessary to auction my Epic on ebay. I just got it replaced and haven't even activate it yet. My goal is to hopefully get enough to get our van fixed....again. We have MANY appointments and therapies for both my wife and kids that are out of town and on hold until I get the van back up and running. Emmett's speech therapy has been cut in half by insurance. His specialists have been trying to get him in 2 times a week as he has mod to severe language ad speech impairment. Now they won't even cover 3 times a month.

While I wish there was another way I feel good about being able to at least do this. I hope to still contribute to this community and really hope to be back at it at some point in the near future.
Thanks again to EVERYONE for ALL the support for both this ROM and most importantly Autism.

I'm having a problem installing wifi tether for root users, after installing midnite rom. Epic 4g crashes and resets during tether app installation. Please let me know what I can do to fixthis. Thanks!

I had the same problem. I uninstalled it and installed the latest version from the Market and it works fine. I don't know what the problem was but it fixed it for me.

I am still having issues with the caller not hearing me after some time in-call. I have Odin to stock and clean flashed several times but the problem is still there. Any idea what can be causing it? Anyone see this before? Thanks!
