I ran my battery all the way down until it shut off. I turned it back on and made it shut itself off again, changed batteries and it booted up just fine. Still midNIGHT 2.7, no problems. I don't know if this helps any but it is not a problem on every Epic, only certain ones.

ya im not saying its the rom by no means but i went back a build in the am and no issues like i had on latest build. could just be a phantom bug but i had a good baseball score going and it powered off in 8th inning. lol

mine asks me, when i open a picture in most apps... but it doesnt ask me if i open a picture from the messaging app, and never has.

does anyone know how to change the default picture viewer for messaging app?

I don't use the stock messaging app but I just tried it and when I chose to attach a pic it gave me a list of all viewers. No way to set default but if you choose pictures it opens gallery.

Im on DI18 because Odin bricked my old Epic. It actually bricked 2 this weekend. I don't think the drivers are taking right on my Vista 64. Can I flash DK28 via stock Recovery 2e then One Click CW3 and then flash the new midNIGHT via SD? Or should I just borrow a Windows 7 laptop?

And one last question... Anyone know how to check and make sure my drivers are loaded right? I saw a thread, on who knows on what site, a few weeks ago that said you need at least 3 Samsung drivers for Odin to work, but I could only get the first two using the same file I used last time???? I uninstalled and installed and it just didn't load 3 out of the 4, I think this is what caused my 2 bricks.

I appreciate you trying the stock messaging app... but Im not talking about when you "attach" a picture... Im talking about when you click on a picture someone sent you already or that you have already sent..

when I attach a picture to a message my phone also lets me choose from a list of apps.

My bad. Try Handcent SMS. It does ask for a default viewer when you first click on a MMS.

extract the drivers and pull the shrewsbury folder out and load that driver manually.....that should fix it.....

settimgs/applications/manage applications... pick what you wanna use, i use astro.

device manager on pc and see which drivers installed.
