Thanks for the input everyone! So here's what I'm thinking now:

- Keep the VIP forums strictly for VIPs since its an earned privledge (which I agree with after thinking about it)

- Make the gold name optional (if possible, or don't highlight it at all)...We could do a default 'Premium Member' user title but give them the option of customizing it too?

- Keep the other benefits as added perks for donating

As far as the chefs asking for donations, this is still fine. XDA and other sites do the same things. They can ask for donations, but they usually don't get anything in return, whereas donating to this site gives you the small benefits listed in the first post.

Time to chime in on this everyone, what do you think?
