I just don't think I can go back to a phone with a ROM that the provider has cluster****ed up! The problem is that knowing VZ/Sammy, we'll be stuck with the stock ROM for a while. Plus i'm so used to having the startmenu/close buttons on the bottom (where they should be!) that I feel it would be a step backwards.
With TouchWiz turned off there was about 80MB free. That was out of an available 120MB (give or take a few MBs).

I ordered mine after I got home from the vzw store, looks like you have to do some online stuff to activate the rebate, but it's better than having to do it the paper way. I don't remember having a stamp in the house for a few years now.

Re: Anyone already pick up the Omnia II?

I picked mine up today at the story, I must say I was just going to look but playing with it, I had to have it. it does have a little studder with the widgets, (no where near the omnia 1 studder) but in all everything is much much faster then the first gen, they seamed to have tweaked the UI on almost every interface, like the bluetooth wifi sound, start menus. it function very well, makes me have to learn windows all over again. I looked at the driod again, but that plastic cheap look and the close together keyboard still was a no go for me. its a smart phone for the basic Iphone user.

Plastic cheap look? Of the Droid? I'd say if anything the Omnia II has a cheap plastic look compared to the all metal casing of the Droid. But that's just me ;P
