Re: Beta rom

Yes, it has flash lite 3.1.

flash lite 3.1 is only compatible with Flash 9 and below.

Re: Beta rom

did you enable flash? Open Opera, click on the ^ in the bottom right, click on settings, advanced and enable flash plugin. Restart Opera and go to something like youtube.com. I know for a fact flashlite 3.1 is installed in this rom.

Re: Beta rom

Especially when cooking. You can't add flash 3.1 to the rom because the registry entries already exist and buildos croaks.

Wish me luck. I am trying my second attempt at cooking. IF buildOS finishes...

Re: Beta rom

You guys are right. I didn't enable flash in Opera. Flash 3.1 doesn't support flash 9 or 10. It only supports 8 and below. I read an adobe article talking about flash 9 and 10, and that it will release a mobile version early 2010. For now, we got to use Skyfire. What about the reg hacks do they all still apply with new rom?

It does support flash 9 as long as it doesn't use Actionscript 3.0. But most swf movies using flash 9 are also using AS3.0.

That is what I was wondering, i have flash enabled, but cannot play video on such sites as hulu.com or channelsurfing.net...unless I use Skyfire. No way around this with Opera, right? I really like the new PIE with the beta rom, and Opera seems to be better too, except for the lack of playback on the aforementioned sites. Anyone else experience something different?

Re: Beta rom

I really want hulu.com to work too, but it's not going to happen with 3.1.. maybe the next rendition of flash lite

Re: Beta rom

I read that the beta ROM has flash support in IE - any truth to this? Also, does Hulu.com work in Skyfire (on the Omnia)? I used to use Skyfire on my (basically dead) Apache, youtube worked fine (despite being a bit choppy on the weak phone), but Hulu (at least hulu.com) wouldn't work properly.

Re: Beta rom

I've hard reset my phone a couple of times. Nothing was changed besides my music licenses being deleted (songs were still there taking up all the space it does), personal settings reverted, and having to install my programs that were still in my storage for some reason. When I changed over to the beta ROM, same thing. Nothing was gone besides the aforementioned things. I thought everything was supposed to delete. Now I'm just confused. Do I have to manually delete everything and hard reset to reset the extra files I forget or something? Again, confused.
