Smilepak, I saw that you can unlock the GPS settings with a reg hack. I did it, and I was wondering, would changing those settings help me with the problem Im having with Google maps? Ive only got it to connect once in the last couple of days, and Ive tried a couple of times while in the car (outside obviously lol)

Re: Beta rom

Just noticed something...

I can't get the "press and hold" to work for the camera button.

I tried to get the camera on today and it wouldn't come up. had to open it from the programs menu.

I switched camera to the "press" function and assigned calendar to "press and hold" as a test and it won't bring up the calendar either no matter how long I hold the button.

but camera works with "press"

Anyone else having the same problem?

Re: Beta rom

SoflaDavid, mine works when I press and hold the camera button. Maybe its one of the programs or themes you are using it that is causing that?

Re: Beta rom

All my press + hold button settings are working, in fact, I have used the camera a LOT since flashing and I haven't had any issues with the buttons.

I suspect since this is a leaked beta, there are some fine tuning on VZ side before the GPS is stable. It is hit and miss apparently. I rarely use the GPS because my car has one. So the problem people are seeing doesn't bother me too much yet.

yea... not sure how much of a beta it is.....

i am pretty sure that it is the actual rom. It is the one that is used in the i910 up in canada.... verizon may be trying to figure a way to get it working OTA and also not have it hard reset everyones phones.

Re: Beta rom

Theidoctor, I may have already asked you this, cant remember, but I noticed your instructions say to put the phone on mass storage mode when doing the flash. I am pretty sure I had mine on Active Sync mode. My phone appeared to flash fine, even though I am having probs with the gps. Could it be that maybe the ROM didnt get on properly or something?
