Press and hold doesn't work for the camera button, nor for the Down button (to turn on the flashlight). I have confirmed the feature is configured correctly in SETTINGS-BUTTONS.

Press and hold DOES work for the Voice command button though.... Strange.

I can't think of anything I have installed that would mess with the buttons, and I don't have anything new that I didn't have before the ROM update (worked fine before).

Must be some kind of fluke.

I'm not terrible concerned though. I reassigned camera to "press". and I always carry a little flashlight with me, so not a big problem.

Re: Beta rom

I flashed Saturday night and everything went flawlessly. Everything works as good as it did before. GPS took about 10 minutes to locK the first time but now I'm locked in less than 30 seconds. My wife likes it so much she wants me to flash her Omnia tonight.

Re: Beta rom

Google Maps, MS Live Search, Amaze, VisualGPSce. Works in all of those. Make sure you have your GPS setting to on (Start>Settings>Phone. Go to “services” tab on bottom. Scroll down to GPS, then ”Change Setting” button and set to “Location on” and not “911 only”).

In Google maps you’ll have to go to Menu>Options>GPS Settings. Select “Set Manually”. Select COM8 and 57600.

Live Search found the GPS by itself. If yours doesn’t go to Menu>Settings and Change the COM port to COM8

Re: Beta rom

Thanks Scotty, I appreciate the help! Unfortunately, I had done all those things. I know it must seem strange to you guys that some of us cant get any of them to work properly, but I swear I tried all the right settings and everything. I even took one guy's advice who said to go in and change it to 911 Only, save, then go back and change it to Location On, save, and then try it again. It just doesn't work for me. Oh well, hopefully they will release the official update so I can at least get my vz nav back

Perhaps on your phone it does but on mine I do not have to soft reset to make it work.

Re: Beta rom

I flashed my Omnia last night and everything is working great. I don't believe the new flashed img has 3.1 lite on it, because flash 10 wont show up in any of the browsers. It just says corrupt flash file where the flash should be. I'll put 3.1 lite on today and see if it works. I got 4 sats working on the GPS right away. I enabled the gps icon in settings - changed program com to com1 and harware to com8 baud 57600 allowed windows to manage. I went into google maps and selected use GPS and it worked great. I didn't have to change it to manual. So, my question is now all the reg hacks we did before the new flash do we still change? Does it make the same performace changes?
