Re: Omnia Hacks / Tips / Tricks
I got tried of having to manually do registry fixes each time I hard reset my phone to test new interfaces so made a single registry file containing all of the setting I usually set to improve performances. You can find them on my blog under the big DOWNLOAD button
http://knguyentu.com/wordpress/2009/...900-unleashed/ It contains all of these in one registry file. - Activate Samsung Today 2 (w/o having to install a custom cab) - Disable Samsung Dialer (save 10MB RAM) - Improve Touch Accuracy through calibration - Improve Touch Sensitivity through calibration - Enforce the usage of Microsoft .NET 3.5 Framework - Activate and Performance Tune File Cache - Increase InCall Volume - Disable auto popup of Samsung Keyboard PHP Code:
Note: This is based upon the assumption you have Microsoft .NET 3.5 already installed. To Use: - open any registry editor such as Resco and import the .reg file - Soft Reboot - Done! :buddies:

Re: Omnia Hacks / Tips / Tricks
Ok, does the sensitivity thing really work? It looks like it is just the (x,y) cooridinate of the "+"'s that you have to push. How would changing that affect your sensitivity?

Re: Omnia Hacks / Tips / Tricks
When you open messaging for text or email, it should have skinned it in the traditional "silver" theme of Samsung, like PhoneBook. Make sure the registry edit stuck, if you soft reset too soon, you lose the change due to the registry not yet written to "disk" (main memory).
In regards to the calibration hack, I tried it. It put my calibration slightly off, towards the top of keys. I removed it shortly after. I can't say it improved anything for me. |

Re: Omnia Hacks / Tips / Tricks
As I mentioned in the first couple posts, I haven't tried all these, and some seem to work on most devices, but not others.... I am glad we are getting this feedback though, it helps us establish the reliable ones compared to the 'finicky' ones!!! Thanks guys, I'm loving the feedback!!!

The second piece is the click sensor. There is a registry hack to increase the sensor on it. Seems to improve on mine with these, I've read other have done it with improvements too. |

There is a thread on how to change the boot-screens on Howard's forums, I am adding it to the top of the thread as well:
