Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

Hey guys quick question... Are all emails and text messages stored in the device memory? If they are how do I automatically store them in my storage.

as far as I have ever seen there is not a way to do this. A ton of ways out there to backup your sms. Maybe someone else knows a fancy way to get it to mystorage.

Question for you... why redirect the save location to mystorage? Texts and emails dont take up that much room (I have thousands and never had memory problems). And if you have alot of email attachments you can have those auto save to mystorage. If its just a issue of backing up everything google search for that. There are alot of solutions.

You can save your emails to My Storage by editing the registry...

Code:
HKLM\System\Inbox\Settings

PropertyPath: \My Storage\Mail
AttachPath: \My Storage\Mail\Attachments

Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

The programs that show up in the scroll menu when you tap programs from the menu, where are those icons/programs located? For some reason the sktools program i have installed copied a duplicate of itself in the scroll menu. IT will say Auto Clean! and then right underneath it (with a different icon mind you) it says Auto Clean! (1) I looked using file explorer and cannot find the dupe. I havn't tried looking for it with total commander, I don't think I'll find it. Can anybody help?

They are in \Windows\Start Menu\Programs

You may have to look with something other than File Explorer, like resco or total commander.

Also, I've noticed that I cannot see the windows directory from my Windows 7 Laptop. Not sure why, but I haven't seen a solution, yet... any ideas?

Yeah, you need to enable view hidden files in the file explorer.

Thanks, I was going to try that, but couldn't find folder options... however, I finally did.

Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

Hi everyone, I just found this forum so pls forgive me if I'm in the wrong thread or something OK? I just got my Omnia i910 from Bell Mobility last week and I really like it but one thing about it is driving me bananas (sorry my caps lock is giving me problems now too) No matter what I try to install on my phone it insists on putting it in the device memory and as you all know it isn"T very big>

I"Ve looked and looked but I can"t find anywhere to designate either the My Storage or the sd card that is in it>

Can someone please help me?

Thanks so much in advance, this seems to be a really great forum.
