Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

Hi everyone! I am new to this hacking stuff. I have had my omnia for about 2 months now. It is the best phone I have had. Before omnia, I had a 6800. I am running pointui and S2U2. I also have done all of the important hacks and tricks and reg edits. I have never had problems with the extras. I only have 2 problems that are existing on the omnia that I havent fixed yet. 1 is the keyboard. I dont like it. So tonite I loaded pocket cm keyboard to find it locking my phone up andf making it glitchy and slow. so I removed it even though I didnt even get a chance to use it. The other problem is to be notified if I miss a call or a text. I have seen some posts on here and read alot about it but cant make a decision on what to install for that. does anyone have any suggestions or prefer something. I have loaded missed call reminder 1.2.5.2 tonite but havent seen it in action yet. Also is there any suggestions on a better keyboard that will work on my omnia with more finger friendly keys?

Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

Hi Adrynalyne
Why did you go back to the Samsung keyboard? How do I go about flashing CC20 to my phone? Also, could you remind me how to switch from one dialer to another that's downloaded in the My Storage folder. Could you give me a possible answer regarding my backlight question a few posts up from this one. Thanks a million.

Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

Go to Settings>System>Power Options.

Under calling tab, uncheck turn off backlight.

Flashing can kill your phone. Are you sure you want to?

Lastly, these cabs will flip the switch between dialers. Reset after install.

Send all Audio to Bluetooth device

Hopefully this is a quick checkbox I am missing. My car is paired with my phone and comes up ans a bluetooth headset. Is there a setting somewhere to send all audio to the bluetooth device? I'd like to be able to not just have a phone call through my car audio system, but the music that is on the device as well. Seeing I don't have an line-in jack, I am thinking that is going to be the only way.

Thanks.

Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

Thanks for the reply Adrynalyne. Unfortunately, that turn off backlight box has been unchecked during all this time that this problem has been occurring. I am going to try to switch dialers and see if that helps. Shame, because I really liked your black water droplet theme dialer. I'll let you know what happens. Thanks

Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

Edit: The message is that the Adryn%20dialer%20switcher-windows.cab was successfully installed on your device.
The program you have installed may not display properly because it was designed for a previous version of Windows Mobile software. When I went into My Storage and tried to install it, the message said that the previous dialer must be removed first. When I clicked OK, the message said that it could not be removed. What do you think that means? Interesting problem.

Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

The warning can be ignored. Its how I packaged it.

If those won't install, then you will need to flip the switch manually.

HKLm/Security/Phone/Skin

Enabled 1
Enabled 0

1=Samsung dialer.
0=Winmo dialer.
