if you don't want a keyboard then i would wait till something else comes out. I'm not saying sprint is getting the diamond 2 but they will have to get something. If you want a keyboard then tp2, if you don't really fancy the keyboard wait till the diamond or the leo or something comes out but eventually sprint has to release a 6.5 device with no keyboard.

it seems they keep changing the phone name every month, but it does look to be a sturdy winmo phone with no keyboard, basically the same as a touch hd or diamond 2. Good for verizon users sucks for sprint users who want a tp2 without a keyboard, no one knows how long they'll be waiting. Personally can't live with out my kb, but to everyone they're own of course.

I don't mind the kickstand. I'm digging the Straight Talk speakerphone on the TP2 and don't think I could give that up on the Whitestone. I can't wait to get the version of Manila they are showing in that Whitestone pic on the TP2.

I never use the hardware KB in my TP2.

I use my own custom version of Touchpal 3.5 & that setup (once you get used to it using T+) is WAY faster than anybody can type on a hardware KB.......

pssh... thems fighting words. I'll put my thumbs on the beautiful tactical 5 row keyboard up against your touch board any day!

j/k you may be able to type faster on it, but saying that its faster that way for everyone isnt helpful. Some people just dont work that way.

psycho is correct, why even own a tp2 if you don't use the keyboard at all? i definitely wouldve waited for the diamond2 or hd2 or whatever phone sprint decides to pick up without the keyboard.

on a side note, i would take that bet. now way you can type as fast and as accurate as me with my keyboard. I was the biggest t9 user on other phones but if you think you can beat me in accuracy and speed with your onscreen keyboard you are wrong. too bad you don't live in the bay i got $100 on that. Now maybe if you type like some of the young kats out there with short words, or no punctuations like apostrophes and so forth then you might have a possibility but when i type i have all the proper punctuations in the right place or it will bug me.

I got to handle a pre production version of the Imagio, it was a prerelease version that had Win Mo 6.1 on it and TF3d older than the version on my TP2. It is thinner but just as heavy as the TP2 and it is slightly wider and longer.
In terms of software it is more geared towards multimedia with VZW TV, rhapsody, and FM radio etc...
Also FWIW, on this version it did not rotate to use sideways, as the TP2 does however this was an older pre-production version so I don't know what the real released hardware will do it may be able to rotate to use sideways, but the version I messed with for a few minutes did not.
The kickstand is quite lame and barely functional.
I thought long and hard about the Imagio vs. TP2...in the end, I type too many long e-mails to use the on screen keyboard.
I agree with the advice above, if you can use the TP2 without the keyboard for a week, maybe you should switch to the Imagio...the screens are identical, I suspect that the actual production version will rotate just like the TP2 does.

Nice feedback jlbusch. Assuming the Imagio has the same hadware internals as the TP2, then we should be able to pull the necessary software off of it to make our TP2 FM radios work.
