iphone wtf?

i agree i have many apps to for my tp and i havent purchased any of them... the iphone isnt worth having without jailbreaking i attempted to jail break a friends iphone and it just made me nervous... dont know if it was because it wasnt mine or what.. i have a custom rom on my tp... BUT i had many programs on my tp without any customization right out of the box... just seems easier.. yea i hate microsoft but seems that they rule the computer world so..... idk i just hate that all these developers are spending all their time on the iphone and forgetting about the winmo community damnit we have heen here longer show us some love to...

To be honest i Jailbroken an Iphone and its not really that "scary"

You download the proper software, follow directions you will be able to jailbreak it no problem....but yea....Microsoft needs to step it up big time! they need to stop looking around other companies and they should come up with something of their own......of course the Iphone is a phone targeting the average consumer versus TP is targeting the Business field more then the average consumer.......but you know what? I used the iphone......its too easy to use therefore it will get boring very very quick! and as far as the big screen......well you saw the TP2 and Diamond 2 that are coming out.....remember we have a 5 row keyboard and they don't p.

WM can win if they design a program that can run IPHONE, blackberry,palm, and android apps. Now that would be awesome!

I agree that we don't get cool apps because there is no main app store

I think there is probably one simple answer to why all the development is happening for the iphone. MONEY.

From a developers side, it is easier to make money developing for the iphone.
You have an HUGE installed base and you have a built-in delivery system - the APP store. Granted, Apple takes a large cut from APP store sales but they make it so easy for the developer and end-user. From a developer's standpoint (esp. for small developers) it's a no-brainer.

For a WinMo device, it's not about writing a great App. There are plenty of great Apps. It's about distribution and driving sales. Unless you have to $$$ to develop your own website and advertisement, it's not that easy to make money.

I've never bought any apps for my Touch or Touch Pro.....I've never seen too much that is worth paying for that I can't get for free. Maybe wifirouter but I don't need that.

The big news (well maybe not that big) is that the blackberry curve outsold the iphone in Q1 of this year... I guess that should mark the end of iphone bashing and the start of blackberry bashing.. lol.

Not only does it not take that into consideration, but it doesn't consider all the free BB with 2 year agreement deals that drove those numbers up.

The results were based on how many units were moved, not how much money was made or how many were returned.
