They still have a stock of 6700s at Assurion, and it's been eol'ed for a long time. If you're just paying your $7 a month hoping for an upgrade, you are probably wasting your time. it's going to be quite a while before they upgrade your touch.

That is the truth...I had my 6700 replaced for a cracked screen and was sent another 6700. This was just last month too. |

When I had my 6700 replaced in the store earlier this year, they replaced it with a Mogul. So your chances are certainly better if you take it into a corporate store and your phone is D.O.A.

Re: Anyone switched from Touch to Touch Pro through insurance?
I was able to get the new touch diamond at a local store. I had issuses with my touch before I left on a business trip. The Refurb they had did not work, so the guy said he had no choice but to swap it for the new touch.

Re: Anyone switched from Touch to Touch Pro through insurance?
Yeah it is "supposed" to be store policy if you have TEP and your phone function is completely dead, to swap you for the same model refurb and if no refurbs then new of the same model, and if none of your model, then to upgrade you to a new or refurb of the replacement model (in our case the Diamond).
A lot of stores try to weasel out of this policy and order you a mailed replacement, they are allowed to do this if your phone is messed up but functions enough to make calls, but when the phone function of your phone is completely dead and they can't fix it, they are supposed to do an In-store replacement from what they have in stock. In my post above it shows some of the phones and the replacement models they are supposed to give. |
