Anyone switched from Touch to Touch Pro through insurance?
 

I was just curios if anyone had a model upgrade through insurance or through sprint from a broken/frozen touch to touch pro.

Just had mine replaced but they replaced it with the same phone. IMO, they have some left overs and could be a little early for this so far.

I need to have mine replaced.... my screen is going bad, but i want to upgrade to the diamond.... but i just called and they said they are still dishing out refurb touches. if anyone has had other luck getting something else let us know!

I am also interested, lets keep this post going until we have someone verify we can replace with an upgrade.. I would be happy with either diamond or pro!

I doubt that this can happen but it could not hurt to actually ask the people who have these phones that you want to upgrade to instead of the people with the phones that you are upgrading from...

this is true... im hopeing someone will say assurion (sprint insurace) is out of stock on touches, then they will give diamonds as replacements. if my screen gets any worse, ill just buy a diamond for 250$ through retentions.

I'm all for it also.

How I got a new Touch was the screen wasn't orienting itself correctly. Took it into the servicing center and they sent the new Touch to the center. Didn't have to pay the $50 bones. I would think that this might also be the case once the touch's are completely out of their inventory.

i think its gonna be a while for these phones to be out of their inventory, i've had them send me new ones. assurion is kind of unpredicatble. some reps will give you a refurb and some will give you a new one. and as long as sprint is selling the phone they will have some on stock.

edit: lol just checked sprint.com and they took out the touch. hopefully they run out soon. i NEED the touch pro

if anyone finds out how to do this please post! i just got the htc touch on sprint back in july but after checkin out the new touch pro im drooling over lt, any way to swap this touch for the new one wouuuld be awsome!

I am doubting this will happen. They hang on to phones sent in and refurb them so that you have to get a refurb of the phone you sent in. Doubt you will ever get lucky enough to catch them low on stock of refurbs.
