Re: Iphone really is the best phone

See one thing I gotta give to the iphone is the hardware...they always kept to the latest in hardware every year....while most of our "power phones" end up with crappy hardware thats dated...I mean even the EVO..they had snapdragons 2 years ago and are already releasing new ones....I mean whenever I have my TP2...I kinda feel ashamed of the hardware..a power phone has not had an advantage over the iphone in hardware ever since the original iphone...

Right now though seems like things are gonna pick up in the hardware game...starting with the Galaxy S >.>..it has pretty much 2x the battery life and 2x the power of the EVO..(it has inside the same/similar chip to the iphone but iphone one is underclocked)

But still I wouldn't call the iphone not having any issue..there was the yellow screen issue and etc..plus not having reception on a phone is probably the worst issue you can possibly have...usually if there is an issue that is a defect you can return it/exchange it..Apple tells you "working as intended" >.>...personally I avoid cases as where I am the humidity is crazy causing all electronics to heat up..so if I can I avoid the cases and go for a simple skin...

All hail Galaxy S

I never had the screen issue and the antenna problem isn't a big deal, the news people don't have anything to talk about so they are hyping it up. I had my iphone in Chicago without a case and had absolutely no issues whatsoever and I used it all over the place. Always had good signal.

Same could be said about my Apache, Mogul and TP2..I personally never had a problem and good battery life...but to each person it may be different...maybe some devices have weaker antennas due to manufacturing flaw...or maybe you just happen to hold your phone right...its perspective...

Are you sure the A4 is running at 1ghz for the iphone 4? That should make it about the same speed as the iPad, I assumed Apple under clocked it to save battery life. It is extremely fast, web pages pull up almost as fast as a laptop. With the speed and high res screen, I find myself using my laptop less and less.

I think in the future, the smartphones will actually start replacing 'most' desktops, they will probably just make a docking station for it where you connect your phone in order to use a regular monitor and keyboard/mouse. Maybe that's why M$ wants to get into the game with WinMo7, they finally realized smartphones can challenge them on the desktop in the not too distant future.

Yes, it is running the same speed as the iPad with twice as much RAM (512 mb) IMO,

Of course, we don't knowfor sure what the clock speed is, because Apple doesn't release that info.

Some people claim it is underclocked and that some bench mark tests are showing it to be slightly slower than the iPad, but I think it is still running a 1ghz chip.
