I would thank you 500x over if I could. Who fing cares if you have an Iphone, TP2, or a POS free phone? It's all in what you like. Tell them to lick your nuts and move on.

Talk about close minded, you think anybody who doesn't care about customizing their phone is stupid or not creative which is FAR from the case.

Some people (most people really) just want a phone to do what they want (make calls, browse the web, play an occsaional game, play music) without needing any customization or ROM flashing & they probably think that geeks like us who spend hours doing this stuff are the idiots........(this kid is WAY to busy to waste his time customizing his phone)

By the way, the nephew doesn't "work for the government". He is a sub contractor who owns his business & lives in a 3 million dollar house in Cambridge Ma. He knows how to "think for himself" just fine........

LOL, I was just talking to a guy last week at my 9 year old daughter's soccer game that had a pager. We where laughing about it, when I asked him "is that a pager?? I haven't seen one of those in years"

He said most people don't even know what a pager is anymore............(I carried one for years)

I'd disagree, Mac Laptops have always felt cheap and flimsy compared to most x86/x64 laptops I've ever handled. Not to mention Mac Laptops are always, always exactly twice the cost of what they actually should be.

This is another point I get a kick out of. The iphone can be jailbroken and the custimization level is no different than a Windows Mobile phone, period. There are ways to theme it, change icons, change the way the springboard (think desktop) shows icons. In fact, there are some pretty cutting edge stuff out there that is right up there with sense ui from HTC.

Before anyone says "yah, but you have to jailbreak it in order to do that" quit being the kettle calling the pot black. Here we sit on one of the more popular Windows Mobile hacking sites and if you have ever put a custom ROM on your phone, you are basically doing the same thing as jailbreaking.

Look, there are good things about most smartphones out there. One day, we will all be able to accept that different people use different devices for different reasons.

Here are some screen shot examples of some of the niftier themes. Just try and tell me these aren't on par with anything HTC has done:

Exactly.

I have a second gen 16 gig ipod touch that is jail broken & I absolutely love the thing. It is a MUCH better music/multimedia player etc. than my TP2.

I am not much of a gamer, but I do love to play NFS Undercover g-sen occasionally when I'm killing time at work & for some reason the ipod version is 1000 times better game than the WM version (I use both). The ipod Pandora app is also awesome.

If I could figure out a way to make phone calls from the ipod on my Verizon account, I would use it all the time as a second phone.

I absolutely love the TP2 & that would still be my #1 phone hands down, but I could definitely find a use for both...........

Re: Why is TP2 better than iphone

When will people realize that there are alot of good smartphones out there for everyone? The TP2 and iphone are both good choices.

Anyone who rants and raves about either the TP2 or the iphone stinks is just ignorant. It's a totally juvenile argument. And I hate to say it but honestly, the more emotionally you get about it, the more you prove you belong back in 7th grade...

I do that too.

I don't give out my cell phone # either, I use my Google Voice # for that.
