the file u downloaded only contains 1 .cab trust me! You are using some zip program that can unzip .cab files. Just extract once not twice this is ur problem once u extract the .cab move over to the phone. And we are using total commander for the ppc not pc. Its available for download at the freeware site in my sig.

Does the whole cab transfer to the phone or do I even unpack it?

u just transfer the .cab over. .cabs are like .exes for ur desktop only .cabs are made to be installed on ur ppc. then once its on ur ppc, u just tap it and install. simple as that. but with this u have to use tc or resco to copy some files into the windows directory.

verizon contacts cannot receive my text messages
 

Is there any reason why a person using Verizon wouldnt be able to receive a text message from me using this? I can get their messages to me but they are not able to get mine. I like this app a lot but I really need to be able to message verizon users.... Can anyone help?

Also, I guess by accident I installed this app twice as now i have a messaging and a messaging (1) icon listed in my program list. Is this a problem?

its not problem the reason u have the duplicate is because you didn't make sure there was one available space on the start menu. You can remove that by going into windows/start menu and delete any duplicates there. As far as ur sending problem did u setup the server settings for verizon? that would be the only thing I can think of. if not the mms address is the same as sprints just change sprintpcs in the .com addy to vtext I think. ;) hope this helps.

ok thank you again and your reply was actually fast. I am not sure i am communicating very well or maybe it is just that i am new to this so let me try and capture where i am in need of assistance.

1. I have installed the application and it seems to open and work fine. I am a sprint user and other sprint phones can receive messages from me but not Verizon users since I have installed this application. So i am wondering if i change the settings as you indicate if i am still going to be able to send messages to sprint users

2. I seem to have installed it duplicate times because I have 2 "messaging" applications listed in my programs list both in the available programs to add to my start menu and also in the list of programs that comes up when i hit "start/programs".

PS While I have your attention, can you tell me of an application that is similar to Butler? I just switched to the 700wx from the 650 and Butler was a very nice app which i miss a lot of the functionality of including LED controls.
