2. You should have a Inbox and Messaging on the start menu but if u do have 2 of either one they can be removed in the windows/start menu (for the start menu) or windows/start menu/programs for the programs menu. No clue about the butler ? never owned a Palm device and I dont own a Treo so Im not sure....try posting a new topic in the 700w/wx forum :D ~mike |
I just want to say that amazingly, this program works with the Motorola Q, and now the ever-growing T-mobile Dash!
It's an amazing piece of work, and just wanted to give props to the developers, etc. With that said, I assume there isn't a lot of support going in for those models of phone (this being a Treo forum) The Q & Dash phones are more like SDA smartphones, not pocket pc's, and have no touch screen. Regardless, the functionality of this program works surprisingly well using menu keys alone. The ONLY bad thing on these phones is that once you're in a threaded conversation, there is no way to go back to the main screen (the one with all of the conversations) Typically this would be done using the "back" button, but instead, this button ends the program. The only way to go back to the main window is to quit the program in task manager, and restart. I assume (hope?) this would be an easy fix, and would like to request it in the future beta version. Being able to go back is the one function that is so dearly sought after by users of these phones, and it's a hot topic of conversation among those forums. It might not be transparent, but I assure you many many fans would be in great appreciation. Thanks again. |
You do have a ok button on the Q don't u? (excuse my ignorance I haven't played with 1 b4) I mean on my apache I can ok through back to the main window.
|
no... just the softkeys; which are "Send" and "Menu" respectively.
I suppose the "OK" button would be like back button I spoke about. There's a "home" button, but thats performing the same function as the back button right now, which is sending it back to the Today Screen. |
Just some info about beta 3... I have been watching this forum and I installed beta 3 on mine and it works perfect with the exception of mms. My device is a UT XV6700 Verizon. All I did was unzip the cab sync to my phone and installed it. after that did a soft reset and all is perfect. I did change the audio alert and as long as im not in the thread it works as well. 6700 owners should jump on this! Now if there was a way to disable delivery reciept from verizon life would be about perfect! So 6700 owners generic info for you ...
I would like to say thank you to everyone who worked hard on this project and this site! Really glad I found it! Damien |
@damien u can stop that reciept by opening the app going to menu/options/notifications and u can change that setting there. ;)

Treo Fix for Bell Phone
Hello guys,
As you can see I am new to this, I have just recently upgraded my 650 to a 700. However, I am on a bell network. I am unsure if this means the following: 1. Since im on a Canadian Network I can not use this app 2. Perhaps its the version of Windows I have on my phone, is not compatable When I try to add the files to Program Files\Palm Messaging, the Palm Messaging folder is non-existent. I have downloaded resco to my phone, and still can not see the folder. Im I doing something wrong. Any help is much appreciated. THX |
1. it should work as long as u can get bells server settings.
2. u dont move any files into the palm messaging folder. 3. 1st u will need to install before the palm messaging folder shows up. then and only then u will have that folder then u copy the 13 files from there to the windows directory. :) |
I have request sms receipts set to never and still get them... Should i uncheck acknowledge when messages are received as well? What does that do exactly?
|
hmmm i get no reciepts with mine set to never and the other option lets u know when u get one if im not mistaken . i wonder whats going on there....
