Awesome 6.5 Upgrade News?!?!?

Whats the best 6.5 rom out there? I want to flash one but don't know witch.

This is what makes me crazy angry about Microsoft's current deployment of WinMo.

All of the best demos of WM6.5 have all been performed on existing hardware:

The real reason for making a stink, from their perspective, is they want more branding power (the Windows key). They want their "white earbuds" if you will.
From a button perspective, there's no difference between the current "home" key, and what the Windows key will do. They just want a different picture. Because of the picture HTC used on the key, Microsoft will most likely NOT pressure carriers to provide updates.

For this round they'll be more than happy to sit back and let the laziness of the cell carriers prevent updates from being sent to capable hardware. The carriers are more than happy to have new software to pimp, as this will mean more phone sales (theoretically).

It's moves like this that make me consider the Pre or Android. I'd never go iPhone, but even the EDGE iPhone is still getting updates.

There are some minor issues with the TP1.
Sites like this fix them, but NO official carrier updates in the US? Really?

poster of f# 10 post. Which rom did you load on the vogue and how did it work and would you reccomend we try it and where did you get it.

Oh man, i found the ULTIMATE 6.5 ROM! Bluetooth PAN works too! I've had no issues!
EDIT: This ROM is for the VOGUE ONLY!

nonono, don't try it, you'll brick the Sh*t outta your TP... only use CDMA TP ROMS!

I've heard good things on StarROM 1.3 with 6.5... and PhantomROM, but wait on phantom for next update due to a keyboard bug.

without the likes of there web sites i would still be using flip phones.

refresh my memory. It has been since my 6700 , since i changed roms.
Walk me through it again. I hard booted it . Now what ??

as long as you have a VOGUE... you'll need to unlock it to flash a new ROM... i'm guessing you haven't done that yet...


VOGUE ONLY:
assuming you have a radio which allows for GPS, you'll use this to unlock with your computer ftp://up.ppcgeeks.com/Vogue/Users/Im...r_MFG_2.31.exe
just sync up the phone and follow directions CAREFULLY...

if you don't have a gps enabled radio 3.35+, download the official update from HTC's site... DO NOT UNLOCK WITH THAT UNLOCKER IF YOU DON"T HAVE A GPS RADIO

after the unlock, you download the ROM from that link i provided earlier, unrar/unzip the file to a folder on your computer, then run the ROMUpdateUtility.exe... it'll walk you through the steps to flash the ROM... do not interrupt it!

if you ever want to manually get into bootloader, just hit power+Camera and reset pin.


if you are stuck, just surf the VOGUE UPGRADES Forum, its in the stickies on how to unlock.

get disconnected error message when the new rom upload screen starts to show. not sure why or what to do next.
