I personally don't want to use seven just because activesync already comes built in win windows mobile. I am biased before even trying it, hehe. I know. :P

I'll try to find another exchange server or something along those lines.

$4,000 for Exchange Server 2007 Enterprise Edition, not including the 85 CALs (for employees). Then the cost of Windows Server 2008 Enterprise (another $4,000 + CALs), which is well over $9,000, just in software.

Now throw in a quad processor rackmount server from Dell with 16 GB of RAM, three hot swap, 15K RPM, SCSI hard drives in RAID for mail storage (450+ GB) and also two hot swap, 15K RPM SCSI drives in RAID just for the Windows installation (80 GB).

Add in three years of same day, 24/7, four hour response time on hardware, and I say we got a good deal. What did you pay for your Exchange 2007 server?
RF your a monster!!! I love it.. im working on some of my IT certs but your a beast....and as far as M2W..

i cant believe that they are charging now(i mean i can the economy sucks)..ive been using their service for calendar and contacts for years...but im not paying 4.95 a month when there are other free options out there...thanks for the couple years of free service tho lol...

Re: mail2web live will cost atfter may 1,2009

So my question is, since my calendar and contacts are setup on mail2web, how am i supposed to get them over to somewhere else? If I delete mail2web from my phone it removes EVERYTHING.

Use pimbackup to make a backup on your contacts and calendar on your phone. Then remove Mail2Web and perform a restore with pimbackup. Then setup Seven (or another push provider) and your contacts and calendar should automatically be added to the push account.

If not, they may provide for an import of your data...

Pimbackup's web site is here.

Doesn't it slap on a signature of it's own?

For my calender I'm using google sync to sync my phone's calender with google's server, then google calender sync app to sync it with outlook. The result is everything in sync with one email address/signon for me to remember and use forever. No more switching email addresses to and from ISPs, etc.
You should look at www.nuesync.com, I use it for my Google Apps Calendar syncing.

That's some crazy stuff right there, wish I could afford something like that but I don't think I'll even make it to the $5 m2b, hehe.

But congrats on that setup it looks really amazing.

Re: mail2web live will cost atfter may 1,2009

I have already upgraded to the pro version of the new service for the day trial. So far I love it, HTML email, and exchange support for my PC, which I believe was more expensive before the upgrade. Also, the reliability of Mail2web has never been in question for me.

Re: mail2web live will cost atfter may 1,2009

I too am contemplating the mail2web switch. The part that sucks for me is that my Yahoo! account got so bogged down with spam that I switched about 6 mos. ago to mail2web. Now I'm being forced to pay or switch again... Don't know what I'm going to do now... So far I have activated my 60 day trial and am checking things out before I commit. $5 isn't all that bad, but if I can find something comparable for free I'm onboard. I've tried Seven and am not sure if I really liked it. Activesync saves better in my opinion compared to m2w.
