Well put. I would add that Apple is more than just marketing and styling. It actually has some good products. But I would definitely agree that it appeals to a certain type of consumer.

We may ridicule the iphone update 3.0 but in reality any update to the iphone is actually good for us in the long run. Competition is good.

Only thing that PPC doesn't have yet is the multi-touch and that's about it. To me PPC is much more robust in terms of productivity and functionality.

Two words: Apple Marketing.

Nope. No video. I'm telling you, I think my old Razr had more functions than the iPhone 1.0.

Yes it does. You just have to jailbreak.

Most things can be accomplished once jailbroken. Im so happy they finally released an untethered jailbreak for my iPod Touch 2G.

Funny thing is that you must jailbreak <--how true a term! an iphone to be able to do anything a stock win dev (not to mention some ordinary phones) can do out of the box. And on top of that, the iphone is suposed to be a media monster, right? Where is the stereo bluetooth??? I wonder who was the brain child that forgot that one. I have messed with the iphone but other than the multi touch and bigger screen, it is not for me.

True, but the phone is still capable, and jailbreaking is a very simple process. Follow a GUI and its done.

Oh, And AD2P is being added in 3.0...

I completely agree, the more ideas out there, the more added to our competition just makes our phones better in the long run. WM has to keep up if not better what is out there, and we are already ahead in a lot of ways, it's a fun time to see what is coming out.

I believe they will still release a new iPhone in June. The 3g needs its hardware updated... Also, im sure they want to try and stop jailbreaking as well.
