Re: Diamond2 and Touch Pro2 announced by HTC

If I could play q3 like that vid of a iphone or iplayer. I would be satisfied with the PRO. But the truth is... running q3 on the Pro witht he lacking drivers is like making asnail pull a turtle. And yes.. as a consumer buying the flagship of HTC crapware, I want equal or better than the iphone. Have you all seen some of the app of 3d stuff iphone can do. Very fluid and good. Were stuck with crap. Period.No more HTC for me until the driver issue is gone and dead,

Re: Diamond2 and Touch Pro2 announced by HTC

IMHO does sprint really need these with the Touch HD & Tungsten W on the road-map already?

I think these are a waste of space to be added to Sprints lineup, no dpad & very little enhancement on the specs.
I think the current versions look sleeker. I like the rear door of the Diamond2 & Pro2 but the front isn't cutting the butter IMHO & the illuminated/lit dpad is a hit with me.

Ironically I plan to get the dpad-less Tungsten W (CDMA HD w/kybd) when Sprint gets it but I think it would've been for the best if the lower models kept the looks with slight modifications.

I wish these wowed me.

Couldn't agree more with you man, I'm not going to drain another $600 for a phone that most likely won't live up to the hype. I can deal with touch pro 1 for now, but if changes are made to specs, then maybe it'll be different.

{[RANT ABOUT TO START]}

What we need to do is wait for phones to incorporate 3d chipsets not just driver upgrades. None of these phones are going to be any better until we get better chipsets.
http://www.nvidia.com/page/handheld.html

As for the larger screens...These are phones/PMD's/PDA (Can someone say computer) If we keep getting larger we will be back to the 80's with two hands on our cell phones. I do like the slightly larger screen. I think 4" would be the absolute largest that should ever be on a handheld device.

What really bothers me with these phones is that they (HTC) have the technology to build the perfect phone. GPS, High Res display, Massive Memory, High quality camera's, etc. They make minor improvements so that every year they can make something slightly better. And every year we all buy the latest and greatest cause we are crack addicts for gadgets. (my wife calls this site my "Gadget Porn Site"). We need more companies making phones as great as HTC so they quit owning the market. I wish high quality gadget companies like Garmin would jump in full force instead of just half ***** trying.

If they ever get to Canada, it will be the Pro2 for me. It sleek and damn sexy, the Touch2 almost looks cheap in comparison

Is it just me or does the Diamond 2 look like the Max 4G?
