Re: Pandora Internet Radio on Sprint
I e-mailed the developers regarding Windows Mobile support. There was a place on their website (maybe it was a blog / news posting) that said Windows Mobile support would be coming soon and that was posted well over a year ago.
They told me it's very difficult to develop on Windows Mobile (come on!) and that they have to test it on many many devices before they release it because they all work differently. Basically, they don't give a crap about bringing it to Windows Mobile. I've developed for Windows Mobile before and it has to be one of the easiest platforms to develop for. Not only that but once it's created and tested on WM 5 / 6 and a couple of resolutions you're good to go. Bah! |

Re: Pandora Internet Radio on Sprint
Last.fm's application (the radio feature) is awful. It skips every 20 seconds because of bad mp3 decoding, and the bandwidth seems to be limited to 25k, which means it takes AGES to buffer (about 15 seconds to get going...which happens on every new song).
They've been working on a new version for a while, but nothing is out yet. See here: http://www.last.fm/group/Pocket+Scrobbler I also e-mailed Pandora about a windows mobile app, and they gave some lame, generic answer. |

Re: Pandora Internet Radio on Sprint
Also, I do like Resco's Radio player. I do wish it was more finger friendly.
But overall I like Pandora or even last.fm's unique way of targeting music that I would like. Too bad I can't hear them on my phone, but you CAN on the iphone. It makes me cry. |
