Maybe, but as much as it burns my ass that they are blocking functionality, I'm still nowhere near ready to pay 2 or 3 times as much just so I can send MMS as opposed to email.

Re: Sprint Denies PPC customers from sending picmail

its all in what's important to you, i would need that new $99 plan on vzw as i use between 2 and 3 thousand m2m minutes and 100 anytime. that's 7 times my current rate without sms or data

Re: Sprint Denies PPC customers from sending picmail

I think it is a damn shame. I just called them to put in my complaint about this situation. A tech by the name of "Jimmy" explaned to me that it is because since PPC phones are Windows based phones that there is the reason why it cannot use picture mail. Then he tells me to use 1234567@pm.sprint.com to send out pictures using that. They are so trying to avoid this question and making up different solutions to try and satisfy those who are upset.

Re: Sprint Denies PPC customers from sending picmail

It is because they are windows phones. They are not capable of MMS. The third party hack was never "supported" by sprint, but even with it available they would have told you they could not send MMS. CS cannot advertise software not supported by Sprint.

This will be true only when Verizon has reasonable data rates or a plan that can compete with SERO.

I miss MMS as well but if its that important to you get a second line with the $30 SERO (I read a $15 plan may be comming in a nother thread) and get small flip phone or something with a decent camera and use it only from sending MMS messages. $30 + $30 is still WAY cheaper than you will get with verizon for 500min(Only 450 with VZN) With Unlimited Data (79.99 per month) + Unlimited Txt (15.00 per month). You could bump one of the SEROs to 1250 plan and still cost less.

It boggles my mind that someone would leave sprint SERO for ANY other plan for ANY reason.

Re: Sprint Denies PPC customers from sending picmail

It all depends, if you have the cash on hand and need to use MMS then it works for them. Just because it doesn't make sense to you doesn't mean that something else is more important to them and money may not rank on the top.

Re: Sprint Denies PPC customers from sending picmail

No doubt. Different Strokes as they say...

I was just pointing out that you could actually get a 2nd phone with unlimited MMS for cheaper than a single phone with VZN.

There are plenty of people out there willing to pay $40 extra a month for Data $19 for unlimited txts, etc... To each his own.

Re: Sprint Denies PPC customers from sending picmail

Yea I think it is reall bogus with the excuses they make. I have called them about the pic problem 3 times just to see what they will say. It has been a different answer everytime. Its so frustrating. Thats ok though. Considering Im in the military, I get deployed in August and if they dont have the problem fixed by June, then I will drop them for free without a fee and switch over to a company to my liking. I have an almost $400 dollar phone and it cant do what a $5 dollar phone can?! I call shenanigans!!!!
