Oh and I was just wondering...can you send mobile to mobile pics on the sprint website still? (In the pic mail section)...tried to get on it this morning and the site is down due to billing changes or sumthin like that...was just wondering has anyone tried before the site went down. Take care. 1 luv.
as far as the call tones there is a hack somewhere on ppcgeeks to allow you access to the internet page from your phone to purchase and set the call tones. been to long since i used it but its here somewhere. sad that we have to get around their system to make it work but thats normal for sprint.

ill email.. but it won't help if only 3 ppl are emailing them. it would be nice to that everyone do it who is a customer. Another thing I was looking at (altho its devilish) is making a website disgracing them..

I emailed too, so you've got one more supporter! Everyone who reads this thread needs to email and get everyone they know with a PPC or Blackberry (as the Pearl can't send MMS either) on Sprint to email as well. Maybe then we'll finally get it done!

Re: Sprint Denies PPC customers from sending picmail

I don't know if anyone is still reading this, but I'm on telus, and I have played with some of the settings in arcsoft. Something I found interesting was that I would get an imediate error when using mms.telusmobility.com/servlets/mms, but then I changed the server info to
http://phone#####:razz:assword@mms.t...do/LegacyLogin, and it seems like it was trying to connect. As it took about 1 to 2 mins. longer to tell me it wasn't able to connect. Maybe you guys could try doing the same thing with your providers.

For you telus users, I just put in http://phone#####assword@www.telusmobility.com/snap
and I think my mms was sent

EDIT: Never mind its not working with that either.

I don't recall, has this story appeared on consumerist.com?

3sg, if you ever do get it working with Telus, do let me know

Edit: maybe someone should nominate Sprint as Worst Company In America

Re: Sprint Denies PPC customers from sending picmail

Here's a thought...

Why doesn't someone here (someone intelligent, well spoken and cool headed) type up a form letter stating our case in a no BS manner... Something that says "we know all your excuses, and what this boils down to is that sprint, in one way or another is choosing to take a shortcut which other carriers with an identical device have not taken."

We can flood dan@sprint.com (or whatever that email addy is), as well as pulling contact info from the corporate site to get access to board members and higher-ups. These emails aren't secrets of national security.. They're out there, and we just need to get our hands on them and force them to utilize their resources returning calls to us.

Additionally, we can post an online petition and try to create some hype, and even file BBB complaints. Wldthing, i know what you're going to say... "Sprint did nothing wrong, the BBB can't help"... you're wrong.. The BBB is a customer service organization, and sprint has crippled functionality on their devices. Does the BBB have any authority to force sprint to fix things? Nope, they don't even have authority when sprint is flagrantly wrong... However, they are a public notification system, and we, as consumers, can drag this issue out as long as we want. Anyone who check's sprints better business bureau page will see that sprint has XX pending complaints against them, and that hurts their business. It DOES get results, even if sprint is technically absolved from any liability.

If we want to fix these issues, we need some organization, some hype, and most importantly, a unified front. Grassroots campaigns have shaped the way this country runs, and there's no reason we can't force sprint to hear our voices. We're wasting our time with unorganized calls to customer service... We need to get this issue in front of people who matter.

Re: Sprint Denies PPC customers from sending picmail

The responce you got from sprint does not make sense because it was not from sprint. i have no idea why you would spend so much time bashing sprint. the picmail service simply does not work on every phone they have. If you look close you will notice the Mogul is an HTC device and not a sprint made device. why dont you complain to HTC instead ? and an even bigger question is why did you get a phone that cant do picture mail if that is what you want to do ? NO carrier has every service on every phone. yes a $500 phone should be able to do many things, and it does. Picture mail is not one of them. the music store link was made a feature of this phone for obvious reasons, It makes Sprint money. additional profit, pure and simple. You see, this is what they are in business for. money. nothing wrong with that. next time you want to edit a email responce to make it sound ignorant, find a differant forum.....oh, and yes, I do work for Sprint customer care.

1. Sprint doesn't make phones.... at all.
2. HTC phones are picmail capable. Sprint kills that capability. HTC has NOTHING to do with this discussion.
3. We bought a phone that is capable of doing whatever we want, and sprint knowingly prevents that from happening. None of us bought a mogul after the lockdown and complained about it. In fact, I'm sure most people bought it knowing about the loophole, and anticipating that sprint would eventually offer full MMS compatibility, rather than closing the window completely.
4. Which of verizon's features can't you do with the xv6800 (the same phone as a mogul)?

If you can answer all of these issues, your point has merit. Since you can't, it's clear that your post is nothing but the bitter response of someone who has no power to make change, and is sick of being the middleman.
