Yeah I am going to love shaking my $500 dollar phone ... that really looks stupid and impractical. Just give us VGA support/drivers, finger scrolling, smart zooming.
Then some upstart Japanese company can create a solid compact shell to house it with slightly recessed hardware buttons, a 3mp camera and a keyboard like the Tilt. Too bad we will never see this on cdma

Re: Windows Mobile 7 - A Peek - MERGED
This looks nice. It's about time Microsoft opened up. I knew they had it in em. Let's just hope things are not rushed now that the opened the floodgates.

Re: Windows Mobile 7 - A Peek - MERGED
The screens all seem to point to high end feature rich phones, which would be great.
It seems like you can't have one without the other though, imagine that burst mode camera rotate baby shot on the Apache handset, 1.3mp crappy camera.... Defeats the purpose much? On another note, having used an accellerometer on a phone for a while. I found some simple N95 programs like rotate, flipsilent and shakelock create a very usable and much less "silly looking" natural interface than I first expected. |

Re: Windows Mobile 7 - A Peek - MERGED
Not having an accel/gyroscope on mobile devices was just a stupid oversight by MS and other hardware manufacturers... I have it on my Toshiba M200 tablet PC and it's useful. I hope Windows 7 will come to current HTC touch devices, even without the "waggle" features. We need a new UI... plus if they do enable the ATi Imageon, current devices with the MSM7x00 chipsets would run it very well.
