Note, for all those nifty UI features (multi-touch, shaking/rotating sensing) you'll need new hardware, since the current hardware can only sense a single touch point, and lacks the accelerometer needed for sensing orientation/shaking/turrets syndrome.

Its nice that Microsoft knows how to copy. It would be really cool if they could learn to innovate. But hey, at least they can copy.
I know you were just being snarky but why is it that every iphone fan has to start with "Yawn"? Seriously they do it on engadget, here, and all the other tech forums. That's just nuts. I'm pretty sure there were Palms and PPCs before Apple came along and offered up the most recent polished version of a smart phone. They weren't the first and they won't be the last. They just currently have a good device out that will see some of its features become commonplace and others fall by the wayside. The air of boredom you get from Apple fans just makes them come off as snide. Personally I'm glad to see competition and I'm glad whenever anyone improves on an old design. If Palm learned that lesson they wouldn't be in such trouble. Right now the vast majority of smartphones run Microsoft, Palm, Apple, and Symbian OSes. I would hate to see any of those just give up on modernizing their OS but I guess we have projects like Android to look forward to.
