Re: [ROM] Project: Teya 1.8.0 [22-Apr-2011]
Great lookin' screen Judge_Daniel, I really enjoy seeing other peoples screen shots and what they do with the rom (I wish more people would post shots). Unfortunately that is the way SimClock v3 was designed, only the comm and quick link panels can be moved to the top. The program links panel will always be on the bottom. You can change the program panel to 7 and that will allow you to keep your clock in a lower position. Also resize the clock as small as it will go and that will bring the panel up a bit. Second issue, you said that you were having problems with MMS. Are you using WM or HTC?
I have also added a poll to this thread to get some feed back. I am considering using one messaging client from here on out and would like to know which one you guys prefer. Please take a second and vote PS: I messed up and didn't add the third option: "Please keep both, I go back and forth". If this is you, please leave a post with your opinion. Thanks!!

I've actually only used HTC messenger. The very first MMS I received when I had loaded 1.8.0 came in twice, then froze my phone, then after I rebooted, wouldn't download. MMS texts usually just lag my phone (I assumed it was because it took a lot of resources to download them), but they are never unbearable. |

Re: [ROM] Project: Teya 1.8.0 [22-Apr-2011]
hi jmart,
new rom is very good with... 1. i like previous taskbar icons. can we get cab for those. 2. i tried to disabe htc dial pad skin. then i got default dialpad which looks nice. but problem is when i open dialpad i dont see any call or contacts even though i selected in view menu. not only that i cant see any phone numbers there, you can see empty screen. but interesting is if you touch on that empty place any one contact will be open (usual place of calls and contacts). am i doing some thing wrong cause this is first time i disabled htc dialpad skin. every thing is fine with htc dial skin. Teya Rocks and very very greatful for your roms making people like me makes so happy. |

Re: [ROM] Project: Teya 1.8.0 [22-Apr-2011]
JMart,
Have been playing with the ROM for a few hours and it is doing great. I installed it last night and the battery did not drain overnight as in your previous ROMs. Could be because I did task 29 as you mentioned in an earlier post. Some comments and questions (warning - it is a long note!): Plus code dialing works fine so far. Haven't tried any international calls but local numbers go through fine. Thanks again for including it and Assisted Dialing in your ROM. I am able to run .reg files now. Helps setting up some settings without having to do them manually. Thanks! I am running WiMoSpeed at 710MHz without issues so far. Never been able to get it that high with other ROMs before! I have a lot of text messages on my device and it was really slow when indexing the texts. Wish there is a good and fast text message solution! Thanks for including shortcuts for other programs which were not showing up in v1.7.0. Do you plan to make the shortcut for XDA_UC available in the future? YouTube appears to be running fine. One of the very big pluses over the Energy ROM I have been using for a long time! Keep up the good work! I am unable to find the Search function for files, contacts, etc. in your ROM. I use it a lot to search for phone numbers in the contact list i.e. if I want to check if a phone number exists in my contact list, I start search, select contacts form the drop down list and enter the phone number and it shows which contacts the phone number appears in. Is there a CAB available and can you add it to your next ROM if you think it is OK? I could not find it on Google search but this feature has existed in my old iPAQ running PocketPC 2003 and also probably in the Stock ROM of this phone. Is there a cab available for GPS Viewer which shows a map of the satellites the GPS chip locks on to and their location in a circle? I have found it to be very useful to figure out if there is a problem with the GPS or if it is only that there are too few satellites it has locked on to. Once again, I could not find it on Google search. I am using the CHT lock screen with a different wallpaper for the lock screen than the default one. The wall paper shows up fine in the lock screen except in the region of the task bar at the top. The area behind the task bar in the lock screen still shows what is in that area in the picture used as the default wall paper for the tab screens. Any idea on how to change that? What is the difference between the Teya style start menu and the Windows Phone 7 style start menu? Both appear similar on my phone. I am sure I am overlooking some obvious difference! The Teya portal has backup availability for contacts but not for tasks, appointments, etc. Just wanted to check if I should be using the PIMbackup for contacts or not. Also, where are all the backup files stored? Will it overwrite the ones from, say the Energy ROM, or will they be stored in a different directory on the storage card? Thanks again for a great ROM. Will post more once I spend more time with it.

Re: [ROM] Project: Teya 1.8.0 [22-Apr-2011]
I've tested the rom and I'm impressed. The shell seems smooth, even with cabs installed. I did find one thing which I'm aware that happened in previous roms; the sense reset after adjusting CHT to my preferred settings. Sense tries to restart but with no success, I end up reseting my phone which brings sense back up with the settings that I've adjusted.
I do have one request though. I noticed that most of the time when my phone ends up freezing or partially functioning, my start menu is still functionable but sense usually is not. Would you be able to add a reset button into the start menu? or is there a way that I could add it in myself? |

1. Setting under the tab (which I'm sure that you knew about) that changes the wallpapers for everything including skins and tabs. 2. click> Start>Settings>Home. In the "Appearance" tab on the bottom you have the ability to change the image that appears in the background. Find the image that you selected from 1. part (just look for the name ex. Wallpaper_001.) Note: I haven't tried this under the CHT lockscreen settings but it does change every image that was different from my preferred wallapaper Last edited by pm_mazur; 04-24-2011 at 03:10 PM. |

Speaking of making buttons, would it be possible to make a "lock" button that would be present in the start menu and that I could choose as one of my SimClock programs? I don't like using the end button as my lock button (I got used to it bringing me to my home screen), so I usually keep a "lock" free link on my first page in the smallest setting possible. However, I would love for it to go under the SimClock, so I could hide it when I want (it isn't what you would call eye candy). Any ideas? |
