Re: [ROM] Project: Teya 1.8.0 [22-Apr-2011]

Teya 1.8.0 uploaded and first post updated.

Happy flashing and have great weekend everybody!

**Just a heads up, MMS messaging for Verizon users may not get configured at boot. If not, please just open Teya [Portal] and go into "Messaging Options" then press the big button.

I didn't have time to get it into 1.8.0, but I will do my best to figure it out and get it in 1.9.0

Re: [ROM] Project: Teya 1.8.0 [22-Apr-2011]

Thanks for uploading, jmart. Can't wait to try it out.

I've been stuck on the "configuring your device" screen for a little over 10 mins...what's the expected time for this screen? I know on previous versions it was usually pretty quick on initial startup.

I think I might try re-flashing to see if that helps at all. Thanks again.

UPDATE: I've tried pulling the battery as well as soft re-setting a few times, while allowing varying times of "startup" each attempt. The shortest was about 5 mins, longest was just over an hour. Each time, it displays "Thank you for using Project: Teya" and then gets stuck on the "configuring your device" screen. I tried hard reset also, same result.

Luckily I was able to re-flash stock ROM in bootloader mode. This is the only way I could get any type of response out of the phone. No matter what stage of startup, I could not establish an ActiveSync connection in any way.

Anyone else having issues?

That's my fault. I shouldn't have waited so long to post. I still love this rom and it still has it under albums, so all is great!

The screenshot looks beautiful! I'm heading to download it now.

I manually configured MMSC server, but it is not used by the system. How can I let it use the MMSC server I configured?

Re: [ROM] Project: Teya 1.8.0 [22-Apr-2011]

It is working great for me so far!

I'm going to have to get used to SimClock v3, though. Especially since I can't get the new quicklinks to jump to the top like the other two tabs. (I attached pictures that show what is going on. The first shows that I have it set to have quicklinks show above, but the second shows that they aren't.)

Great job with the icons and the new start menu!

I'm switching back to energy rom until some kind of messaging works for this thing (same reason I didn't use version 1.3 for more than an hour).
I experienced this also with 1.7. Can anyone confirm if it is improved in 1.8?

It still doesn't seem to like MMS very much, but I've been texting all day without much trouble. The only problem I have had, though, is that it freezes for about three seconds when it is downloading, then alerting me to the downloaded MMS. I would hardly say it is anything worth restarting the phone over, though.

I wouldn't say I'm a heavy texter, either. I almost never hold more than four conversations at once and I've only been holding three simultaneously today.
