Re: [ROM] Project: Teya 1.8.1 [25-Apr-2011]

Update: Moving is taking a little longer than expected, should be settled in towards the end of next week, worse case the beginning of the next. I am in the works of rebuilding my kitchen. This is something I have wanted to do for a long time, but just haven't had time. I am focusing on making it lighter, faster and overall more stable. This means that some stuff may be taken out (i.e.: different lockscreens and different start menus). Anything I remove, I will make sure to cab up that way the people who use them can add them post flash.

Congrats on your recent purchase sonami, don't be a stranger!

Thanks again to all the users of Project: Teya!

Have a great weekend everybody!

It is great to hear from you! I was honestly getting a little worried about the future of Project: Teya. I hope your move wasn't too stressful.

I also have another question; is there any way to turn off the Voicemail texts? I am satisfied with the normal notifications with the voicemail and find the texts to actually be more work than helpful.

Re: [ROM] Project: Teya 1.8.1 [25-Apr-2011]

Hey guys. Long time no talk.

I finally decided to flash a ROM to my imagio. It's been stock for 3 years with the SPB shell.
So tonight I did a hard reset. Then did the Hard SPL and then the Teya ROM.
Seems to be running ok and I've been setting things the way i like.

One thing I'm trying to figure out is what the Internet Explorer is from.
The STOCK Internet Explorer was opening flash on several websites.
The one in Teya does not.
That's kind of a bummer.
Is there an updated Internet Explorer I can throw in?

I also have Opera 10.0 form the opera website. It plays youtube mobile and whatnot but not flash form other sites either.

Any ideas would be great. Other than that, so far so good. Kind of like having a NEW phone again.

EDIT:
That's odd. Opera mini 5.1 that is included is now working for some of the flash.
I'm still curious about the Internet Explorer. But it's nice I wont have to use it, the OEM was a memory hog and then some.

Re: [ROM] Project: Teya 1.8.1 [25-Apr-2011]

Well I'm reporting in, still in Europe. Here are some bugs I've found out on the run.
Obviously this phone isn't and wasn't available in Europe with the exception of the older (in my opinion prettier) sister the HTC Diamond 2. What I did find out was the data and mms settings that are simply mirror settings for the Diamond 2 are different from the Imagio on the Orange carrier. Anyone else played around with settings to get the GSM network other than Vodaphone to work?
Yes I did go to the Orange store and I did ask the hot lady behind the counter... the conversation ended up with her phone number and an invitation to a club called absinthe lol. but my phone isn't fixed. I'll leave that to you guys while I have fun at the club with ladies.

Re: [ROM] Project: Teya 1.8.1 [25-Apr-2011]

pm_mazur, I am not sure if this will help, but I thought I saw some settings in TEYA to decide what program to handle the SSM/TEXT.

Maybe you can select the default one for the phone and it will work. But not sure if that will do any good if it was in the original ROM that does that.

Re: [ROM] Project: Teya 1.8.1 [25-Apr-2011]

I've been using TEYA for a few weeks. Still getting used to it.
I installed the DUCK NINJA Opera or whatever it is and the flash is working much better now.

I also figured out how to get around a few glitches.
Sometimes it seemed that the phone was partially locked up. But what it is doing is going into LOCK mode without changing to the LOCK screen.
If I tap near the upper right hand corner it will show the LOCK screen and I can slide the unlock slider and then it is responsive.

Using cleanRAM helps a lot too when it gets sluggish.

I do like the over all look and features. The media player and streaming audio player is a little nicer than stock too. It's a pretty cool ROM over all.

hmm.. so far all i see is plus code dialing when it comes to European use. I think that Teya rom it self has Verizon setting preloaded that is why im having some trouble with the setup.

Re: [ROM] Project: Teya 1.8.1 [25-Apr-2011]

I feel like my phone keeps getting more unstable every day. I don't want to reflash the same version, but I'm not sure how much longer I want to wait for 1.9.

I've been with energy for a while, the only problem is that it feels like a really heavy rom. Honestly if you want a fast rom you might wanna settle in for any kind of a titanium rom, just keep in mind that HTC Sense shell will be thrown out. So far as for Teya, my phone has been doing good since the update of 1.8 probably because my email, CDMA (including data) and MMS service have all been disabled (I'm on a trip in Europe). I'll find out how much slower it'll react in 3 weeks when I come back to the US and start using the big red again
