I tried this and so far my phone has been less stable since I installed it. I've had several messaging related lockups now.

Edit I noticed I had a couple screwball sms messages, possibly a side effect of the Messaging upgrade. I wiped my msgs and we'll see if it's more stable.

Drell,

Please post if/when you get Android running on the Imagio. I can't wait. I've tried a few of the Android builds on my Imagio and can't get past the initial kernel load sequence.
Anyway, good luck and please let us know about Android on the Imagio.

So far so good since I wiped my old messages. Fair warning tho, I just realized the hard way this wipes out your MMS server settings when you install it.

That new swype cab that cslawren referred to is giving me a headache. Not only does it swype way slower than the original, but it crashes HTC Sense every time I try to input text (like in the google search or twitter update). Cslawren, I hope youre not trying to sabotage our phones with all these new cabs... :P

lol, nope. I, for whatever reason, have not had ANY of those issues. It must be differences in stuff we install, etc.

That is one thing I will never understand about windows mobile... how you can have the exact same phone, with the exact same operating system, yet the behavior is completely different. Even something like after flashing new ROM vs after hard reset, there seems to be varying experiences.

In this case, Swype was the very first thing I installed. I then went to the internet tab to search for something and... crash. I tried hard resetting a few times too, with no luck. Too bad, because other than the clashing with Sense, I like that version of Swype a lot more than the first cab that was released!

Re: [ROM] 6.5.5 Drellisdee Whitestone RC1.5 23569 05/12/10

I've been using the updated HTC messaging for a couple days now, and I think it's made quite an improvement, my thanks!

If there is to be at least one more build from Drellisdee, I would love to see this included. Installing it on top of 1.5 seems to work just fine, though.

Been very pleased with RC 1.5, very pleased indeed.

Re: [ROM] 6.5.5 Drellisdee Whitestone RC1.5 23569 05/12/10

I have been using 1.5a ever since it was released and the only two (minor) problems I have seen with it are 1. the Facebook albums do not work under contacts and 2. the Tasks app does not set reminders.

This is by far the closest any other ROM has been to being perfect for me and I cant believe right before it is finished, the chief is calling it quits on it. The tasks thing I can live without, but if the album thing was fixed I would admit that I can not find anything wrong with this ROM. It would finally be how I would want my Imagio. Too bad...
