lol yea that or if your feeling rambunctious can patch shell32 yourself its pretty fast to do if u end up making ur own rom

Yea, I just got locked out while using ShadowROM 6.5. I am not too upset, will finally make me take the leap and try the GPS fix that involves a zillion flashes. *sigh* really wish someone would find an easier fix.

flash Nfsfan's 6.5 rom.
His vogue rom is by far the best vogue rom.
Sorry all you vogue chefs,
but he's just been at it for sooooo long.
He's dang good and mods DLLs/drivers to speed up the vogue/UI.

yeah, his rom was one of the beta versions of 6.5 that had that timebomb.
He was showing good promise in his roms, but stopped building them....

Actually my wife's phone has Nfsan's 6.5 ROM on it and guess what, you got it! Locked phone. Nice. I wish I would have known about this before. Now she has contacts on there that I cannot get off. Is there anyway to get to the contacts with the phone in this state?

which version of nfs fans rom is it i will find it and recreate on my phone where you r at and see if i can come up with something

unfortunately i dont think its possible sorry, but from my experience if your wife uses a sdcard i would suggest she use pimbackup and back her contacts up to the storage card once a week or everytime she adds a new contact

I don't think any of us would mind letting you know where you can find a "clean" WM 6.5 ROM but don't you think it would be nice to let us know where you got the tainted one.

Why expose others to your fate?

One of the better ROMs is NFSFAN's. As far as I know, this ROM has not caused phone lockup. It is possible that the flash did not go correctly. I would try the hard reset and flash it again. Once flashed, do a soft reset. Worked for me. Sorry you are having such difficulty with it. You might want to go over to XDA forum. Many of the users there have flashed NFSFAN's ROM without difficulty.
