hey what if i have a 6700? i officially according to Verizon and Assurion have a 6700 but ive been using a sprint 6900 i esn swapped to my account for awhile now. Think they'll "touch" me? (stupid pun i know) or give me a diamond? could i claim that i want a model with a keyboard so a Touch is out of the question and hopefully they wont have any 6800s.

Also ive been elegible for an upgrade at new contract cost forever now but verizon SUCKS at catering to their PPC customers so first we get our models always a year later and then they hardly ever reduce the price.'

Just chekd VZW site, no more 6800 and the 6900 is down to $69 with contract! still sucks. It would be great if they Touch Pro'd me.

aww, you guys were a little late on the posts. i figured i would try it out anyways. i tried it in phone upgrade mode, it didn't work (didn't have very high hopes for it anyways because of the differences in resolutions). had to hard reset it and then just backed up my contacts and messages. but anyways i am loving this phone! especially for the $50 deductible :mrgreen:

For those that got a brand new in box Diamond through phoneclaim.com, did it say they would be brand new or was the replacement just listed as UT STARCOM 6950?

I recently did mine and the Do You Accept screen said "brand new in box" UT Starcom 6950. Will confirm once I receive it.

that is what mine said, but on my confirmation email it said "New Fully Kitted" and mine was new in box

ADD me to the list of folks who are receiving the touch pro instead of the diamond!!! my phone died and I called to receive my new one only they were trying to give me the diamond. I complained because I need a mircoSD port and they said the only other phone they could give me was the pro so I'm getting that....I would prefer my touch over a touch pro thou.....but ahhh well!

btw shipping says "HTC 6850 Touch Pro new fully kitted CK" so aka "NEW IN BOX"

So if someone has a 6700 do you think theyd give me a 6850? Or do you think they have more 6800's lying around?

I guess Asurion is the only one... I just got another 6900 from sprint... =(
