Mogul replaced with Touch
The first replacement mogul (my 2nd mogul) had a touchscreen that was not very sensitive and was awful. When the o key started to yield 'ooo' instead of a single character. It was time to get it fixed. Using Sprint's Self Service Phone Replacement Option, a replacement was ordered.
Received in the mail one HTC Touch. No Moguls in stock, sent comparable model. Comparable? $150 less than as listed on Sprint online order form. No keyboard. No Wi-Fi. No flashlight. Obtained from Sprint as compensation: $15 off monthly bill for 12 mos. ($180) Moral: If they try to replace your phone with something else of lesser value, make them pay for it. |

Re: Mogul replaced with Touch
First of all the price of the Touch just dropped to $400 a month ago, it use to be the same SRP ($549.99).
Second they didn't have to do that, the phone broke under YOUR possesion, and they sent you a phone closest to what you had and paid shipping. Thirdly they did correct the issue when you called in, don't make it sound like you punished them by making them give you $ off your service, come on you're being greedly, the touch is a overall better phone then the mogul, I've had them both and I got tired of the mogul in a month, I loved the Touch. Lastly, if you are truely upset, which could be.... there is a 30 guarentee on replacement phones if they sent you a different model, no charge, and I know REC6800SP (Replacement Mogul SKU) is in stock. Come on now don't make Sprint sound like that, it's rude especially on how much they went out of their way to service you. Yes you pay them every month, but I'm sure you take full advantage of their services, and if not more being a member of this forum. |

Re: Mogul replaced with Touch
Honestly, maybe they should be punished. Just about every time I call them, I get some Mexican who can't understand what I'm talking about and I get transferred to some wrong department. Every issue with Sprint I've had took over 4 calls to resolve .. 4 calls being on the low end.
I also think it's quite reasonable to expect the same features in a replacement especially considering they were the features that sold me on the phone. As far as breaking under my possession ... I take extremely good care of my phones. I never drop them, toss them, bite them, **** on them, etc... the screen was less sensitive to begin with and a keyboard should last more than three months. Defective. Not my fault. Either way though, I'm loving the Touch although it's taking me more time and focus to get anything typed and I still wish i had a flashlight. |

I have had both phones and i agree with qwho, once i switched to the touch there is no reason why i would miss the mogul. Wifi? who cares you have REV A. only thing i could argue is the keyboard but once u start using a touch keyboard its only a matter of time before you get use to it. I use resco keyboard and i love it!! |

Yeah, I'm using Resco Keyboard too, and I've set one of my buttons to launch the screen into landscape. Hmm. So far so good. I'll see if I can go a month like this. -Journey |

Re: Mogul replaced with Touch
I personally, haven't used a touch yet. But, I do need a QWERTY, to hard to drive and attempt to use a stylus for input, I am sure I could manage if I really had to though. I just prefer a keyboard over input, that's just me style though.
