If I change the Registry in the ROM so that when you flash it over, the alltel AGPS server IP and server port are in the AGPS registry tab, then there is no need to go into anything else to change it.

I added the settings via QPST and it doesn't work.

Anyways, is there anyway to find out if that AGPS servers works only for Blackberry's or for all Alltel devices? I know my Glimmer has AGPS becuase it locks in seconds using Telenav but I'm assuming the AGPS settings are in the software because in not in the GPSOne settings on the phone.

any word on a leaked rom?

The official 6.1 update should be out in the next two week,s it has been said that it would be out by the end of the month, so it would be a lot easier to wait for the update, insdie of trying to modify the actual chipset.

Re: Alltel GPS Issues

yes but as i understand it, same chipset its just we dont have a dedicated antenna like the 6800 has... 6900 gps goes through the cdma antenna so it shouldnt be that hard and pros would be more sensitive and reliable/quicker GPS ONLY locks
