Re: Touch: CAN'T answer an incoming call !!!
The thread on xda where it mentions Advanced Config causing this is:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=317070 Not a lot about the problem there though. See posts #449-458 or so. |

Re: Touch: CAN'T answer an incoming call !!!
I just installed shapps 3 days ago, the problem just started for me, but a soft reset works to solve it for me, but i do know that if you have pending notifications or reminders that you haven't dismissed they lock up the answer key as well. I'm running the new sprint rom with a bunch of tweaks and customizations, the phone just started doing this when i installed shapps advance config.

Re: Touch: CAN'T answer an incoming call !!!
Ok, blown away everything. Also while I was doing so, updated from the .2 to .4, installed everything I use BUT the Adv CFG stuff.
Lets see how it goes. Gotta love wasting 3 hours. ![]() Glad I keep all my cabs and a txt file of EVERY key, all my configs, all my preferred reg settings in a folder on my PC and on the SD card. ![]() Now if I would only learn how to "automate" my reg settings into a .cab and make it even FASTER to rebuild! hahahaha BTW, it's working fine now. Maybe I should make a sprite backup of it. ![]() |

Re: Touch: CAN'T answer an incoming call !!!
Wow, just experienced this problem myself. I had Adv CFG as well. Uninstalled it but I have a sneaky feeling the uninstall was not clean. Anyways, i've noticed that after the problem happens, I'm able to call my touch from another phone several times and it seems to work just fine (i.e. I can't reproduce the problem again). However, if I let my phone sit for a while, say 4 or 5 hours or overnight, I can reproduce the condition. I didn't notice the notification issue, I'm using push mail. But I'll look for that next time.
PocketCM HHC 1.0 PPC Personalizer GPStoday GPS toggle HTC Diamond home 2.1 (6 tab) sMMS Edit: Tried again after two hours of idle time and the problem was back. Tried again with notifications present (e-mail plus missed call) and it worked just fine.

Re: Touch: CAN'T answer an incoming call !!!
Yeah. something is happening that doesn't disconnect the data to allow the call to complete.
after it happens, you can recall and it works UNTIL data is active again. So far, after my rebuild, everything works fine. |

Re: Touch: CAN'T answer an incoming call !!!
Sometimes I can hear the other line before i answer the phone... Last night I heard my wife say pickup the damn phone, while it was ringing... It was sitting on the desk in front of me... This has happened about 6 times before... I can hear people talking before i answer the phone... anyone else experience this?

Re: Touch: CAN'T answer an incoming call !!!
I got this too after setting up the PAM regedit workaround, and installing Schaps advanced config. Any way to keep the free tether workaround set up without installing adv config and causing this problem?

Re: Touch: CAN'T answer an incoming call !!!
Started testing this issue and found that if I was surfing via pie (or I suppose any browser) that the call notification would come up and the caller would go straight to VM. If pie was closed but data connection was still open, the notification would come up and the phone would continue to ring but the answer button would not respond. Further testing revealed that multiple quick pushes on the answer button (more than 10) would eventually answer the incoming call.
Needless to say, I hard reset and began rebuilding. I've installed most of my apps testing this issue along the way. So far, no problems. I agree it must have been data connection related but not sure what caused it. Most likely it was the adv config but I can't say for sure (the uninstall was not clean). Oh and on the tether question; I used a cab I found that modifies the reg. for this. I've not had a problem so far without adv conf when using tethering. |
