Re: Touch: CAN'T answer an incoming call !!!

Hmm...that's interesting. I have Advanced Config installed and don't have this problem. I know that the stock settings for the end key are set on a delay. I got a cab a long time ago that was posted by rstoyguy that sets the delay to 0 but I think Advanced Config has a way to set the delay as well. Whatever works I guess!

Re: Touch: CAN'T answer an incoming call !!!

I had the problem after setting up google push email. turns out it happens only when activesync is running. I'm not able to have push mail and receive calls at the same time.

EDIT: I made 3 changes to stop activesync from starting:

1 - Disabled Time sync in Phone settings

2 - deleted one of the replog.exe entries using memmaid (2nd tab). The one that said open activesync when time changes.

3 - In activesync menu -- Schedule -- Changed to Manually.

Angry Re: Touch: CAN'T answer an incoming call !!!

I installed Schap's Advanced Config Tool v3.3 on my Sprint Touch Pro, which has the stock ROM. When incoming calls came through and I would slide the slider2answer to ANSWER, the entire slider would become green "Answer," the ringer would stop ringing, but the physical button lights would keep flashing and the calls would go to voicemail. I tried uninstalling it, but uninstallation did not resolve the issue. After a few hard resets, many wasted hours, and installing programs selectively, I found out that it was Schap's Advanced config v3.3. If you think it was only me that has this problem, look at the above posts # 4, 7, 8, 9, and 10 of this PPCGeeks thread. Disabling incoming call is an old problem with this software

So beware: Do not install Schap's Advanced Configuration on your Sprint/HTC CDMA Touch Pro

To Schap, the maker of this program: Although you developed this software to provide utility to the community, you have unfortunately screwed up so many people. Why don't you take this software offline? How many more people have to fall prey to this program and have to spend countless hours doing hard resets? Your program killed my weekend. Thanks for nothing!!!

I will post this in Schap's XDA thread for the benefit of all.

Sorry to hear you had so much trouble! I have Schaps Advanced Config on my Vogue and I have not had any issues with it whatsoever. I wonder if this is only an issue on the TP. In any case, you should definitely contact the developer about it. Unfortunately, any time you install freeware software there is a risk that the app may not work or that it may cause some failure on your device. That is why these developers include warnings about possible problems with the read me or license files for the apps.

horndoctor, thanks for your reply. I completely understand and am aware of risk with installing any software on my CDMA Touch Pro. If you read posts 4, 7, 8, 9, and 10 in this thread, you will see that people had the same experience with HTC Touch (another HTC model). Those posts were made about a year and a hald ago, so the problem is an old one, but the developer has never addressed the issue and never cared about his fans to at least post a warning about this notoriously old problem with his software on certain HTC models.

My post here and at the developer's XDA thread are meant to bring attention to the problem. I designed the title of my posts with the necessary key words to allow other unfortunate users who have the problem to find my posts easily with google search. At least, they will only have to do one hard reset instead of the multiple hard resets I had to do to find out which program was the culprit.
