Re: Downgrading for Warranty
Mixxy Keep us updated on how your downgrade pans out. According to sticky a downgrade of the radio may not brick the phone in all circumstances...Hope the bell phones are one of those circumstances

Re: UPDATE: Downgrading (successfully) for Warranty
so i took the plunge a few hours ago and have successfully downgraded my bell touch to its original provider rom. I used to have the 3.35 radio and then updated to the 3.37 and then the leaked rom, and then finally back to the 1.59 rom (signed) by bell today. So far Ive had no problems with making calls, reception or anything else. I downgraded my SPL by installing the original spl 0.40 by ImCokeMan and then flashing the signed exe by utstar
everything has gone as planned, I will bring the phone to UTStar tomorrow and hopefully get a replacement or my phone repaired. But i PRAY its a replacement. I will report back and let everyone know how it goes. But thanks to IMcokeMan, and Dharvery for the tutorial and everyone else for their advice. Cheers Mixxy |

Re: UPDATE: Downgrading (successfully) for Warranty
There are instructions.... I believe you need a differnt boot loader to run the bell rom.. The bell rom will relock the phone when it is instaled. Somewhere up top in one of the stickies is a "how to" i followed it and and downgraded my Bell touch to stock and returned it for a replacement... Just follow the instructions and things should be alright!!! the thread is
