Re: Bell Mobility Users ROMS?

No, I didn't change anything in GPStoday, I just slide the red square over to the other 2 windows and the green circle appears, I start google maps or what ever app. I had a little problem today and did a soft reset a couple of times to get it to work but we were moving at the time so I am wondering if it took awhile to lock becouse we were driving.

oh external gps under settings should be on com 4 and the hardware settings are none and 4800 baud.

Re: Bell Mobility Users ROMS?

Hmmmm, could you guys with your gps working please check what your PRI number is? If you don't know how to get it--> ##778#, view or edit - then it should be on that first screen. Mine is 1.33_007.

cheers

Re: Bell Mobility Users ROMS?

1.33_007 here.

Using the .15 Radio and OMJ latest ROM ... For me, GoogleMaps and LiveSearch works without priming and give me an accurate location within 1 min after a cold start and a little bit faster after standby..

I had always had this kind of performance using .10 or .15 Radio and using Mustan, Derek and now OMJ ROMs....

Weird thing, Yahoo and TomTom had never find my GPS at all

Re: Bell Mobility Users ROMS?

Me again haha,

Did you guys use the 3.35 titan radio at all and did it give you any locks?

Would you mind using gps viewer (in OMJs rom) to try to get locks and if you do what signal strength are you guys getting?

Thanks so much

Re: Bell Mobility Users ROMS?

Bah, I'm this close to giving up *makes motions with his hands*!

I installed radio 3.37.15.

I have complied 7 kitchen roms, all various makes, with all different types of software. I have tryed OMJ, I am now grabbing JD's. I cannot get a lock of any type on gps.. I have tryed inside, outsite.. went for a drive.. nothing is working!!!!

I have primed, I have not primed google maps, GPS today, apachegps... Nothing will give me one satelite... I get a very generic lock to somewhere in the ottawa area.

Could it be a bad radio flash that is causing me greif? Should i reflash my radio to 3.37.15?

If anyone can help me out that would be awesome.. cause I know this can work.. but don't understand why it's not.

I am also curious to try using the default sprint customization and then seeing if gps can work.. from my understanding if i do so my cell part will not work at all(roaming) and I will have to reflash with my oem rom. but I am very curious to see if there is any difference. So many people say that the PPST and the MSI update make a huge difference in the sprint gps thread. there has to be a way to keep the bell info while getting whatever it is out of that PPST that makes the GPS happy.
