Bell Mobility Users ROMS?

I am with bell and I am using radio 3.37.10 Alltel radio and OMJ's Rom dated 4/30 full. I have been running this set up for a week now with a few bugs but I am happy with this rom.

I am hoping Bell user can post there results with different roms and other info Bell users can find usefull.

My internet speed hasn't really changed from the stock rom from what i see, I don't know if we have Rev A, it isn't listed as a data parameter on my epst page. (I thought we had Rev A with the stock bell rom)

Has anyone got the Rev A ENABLE/DISABLE showing up on there #778# page?

Gps is flaky and that is why I would like to upgrade.

Any info that Bell users can amass the better for all of us.

I ran the new Sprint ROM... rebooted during customizations which got me the slightly updated radio (.15). Then I cooked my own ROM using the PPCKitchen (v3.02 w/GPS). GPS is definitely better (not flaky)... although I don't get as many sat locks as people who can run the ppst.exe update.

I'm using JD's latest custom ROM...
The problem I have is that my exchange email with my employer is not working anymore...are either of you using email through an exchange server?

My gps is ok but I find it gets a bunch of sats quickly but take ages to lock.

What problem are you seeing from the device side when you try to configure activesync?

I'm still running a stock rom for now. I'm an Exchange admin.

Awesome...I've got the right person...

My device doesn't seem to want to connect. The IT guy at work (consultant) has setup my stock ROM's and custom ROM's exchange settings on my ppc before without problems.
This time, he said something was different.
The thing is that I cannot try much as they will not give me the password so I'm reliant on them.

Do you have a step by step inst. for setting it up? I can try it myself and just get them to enter in the password. What is the password on my ppc...is it the exchange password or my email password for when I log into my pc?

Thanks.

PS-perhaps this is better discussed through PM?

Re: Bell Mobility Users ROMS?

My best combination so far seems to be the Alltell 3.37.10 Radio with a custom rom cooked with the PPCGeeks 3.02 GPS Kitchen. I found, at least in Brampton, that the 3.37.15 radio from the leaked sprint rom didn't do well for me. I had awful reception and call quality, and GPS took forever to lock. When I reverted back to the 3.37.10 Radio I get almost instant GPS lock and my reception is great.

Using PPCKitchen frankly is my weapon of choice as I can tailor my ROM with exactly what I want and nothing else.

Oh and I have NO RevA stuff showing up in ##778# in Brampton, will see about Toronto tomorrow.

Re: Bell Mobility Users ROMS?

My Exchange client is working good on my Vouge, I am using mail2web.com, you can set up an account on there site on your PC. If you login with your PC you can find the settings for your activesync account. Then log in with your PPC by setting up your exchange server in activesync.

So maybe the roms cooked from the new 3.02 sprint rom loaded right on to the 3.37.10 radio might have good results without going to the 3.37.15 radio and then reverting back to the 3.37.10 radio.

I guess I should start cooking my own rom but up till now i have enjoyed trying different programs and codes I had no knowledge of before.
